「クマが人間を食べるようになった」と猟師たちが話していました。罠にかかった鹿を食べだした頃からより肉食化しているのではないか」とも。

かなり前の事ですが僕も何度か山で熊に遭遇しました。ただ、僕の存在に気がついたら逃げていきました。故に単独でもさほど熊の脅威を感じていませんでしたが、今の熊は人間の存在に気がついて逃げるのかどうか。

個体や地域によって異なるのかもしれませんが、明確な事は誰にも答えられないのでしょう。

鈴が果たして抑止になるのかも分からない。「むしろ熊を呼び寄せるのでは」という声も。

団体ならさほど心配はないと思われますが、単独、少人数で山に入るのはかなり気をつけた方がいいと思います。高山ならより安全かとも思いがちですが、基本登山口は低山からのスタート。最近まで熊スプレーを持って山に登る事はなかったのですが…。熊の領域に足を踏み込むのでリスクはやむを得ないのですが、それでも怖い。

それにしても、上半身のない遺体を見つけた方は…。さぞかし驚かれたというか、トラウマレベルですね。いや、本当に恐ろしい。
