A German journalist with @faznet asked Zelensky, in once Nazi-occupied Belgrade, how “we Europeans can help (you) kill more Russians” No more incendiary formulation is possible to imagine. It has impacted public opinion in Serbia like a nuclear bomb. Dropped on his own foot.
It's very expensive in terms of lives and quality of life to move from first world country to developing world, way to go Germany. These dolts are supposed to lead Europe? Woe is Europa.
🇩🇪‼️🚨 “EVERYONE WOULD BE DEAD” – GERMAN SAFETY FAIL
A large-scale catastrophe exercise was meant to demonstrate the effectiveness and coordination of German emergency services but failed spectacularly.
The exercise included:
1) An ICE high-speed train stopping in a tunnel and catching fire
2) Train staff calling emergency services
3) Emergency services sending alarms to citizens in the area and calling first responders
4) First responders arriving quickly to save the 100 partly injured passengers stuck inside
This was planned for over TWO YEARS and involving 250 emergency staff, and still the outcome was embarrassing:
1) Emergency services arrived on scene only after TWO HOURS.
The train driver issued the emergency call on time, but railway control took 30 minutes to pass it on. Another 30 minutes passed before it reached the fire brigade, with further delays occurred after that as they were not ready
2) Warning messages via the Nina and Katwarn apps failed to reach all users in the area. The expensive European software failed as well.
Result: “The final opponent in the tunnel is the time,” said Marc Stielow, fire director at the Thuringian Ministry of the Interior.
“If this were real, everyone would be dead long ago,” emergency services operatives added.
-> Two years of planning and millions of euros later … spectacular fail, 2 hours until fire brigades come to rescue burning people … too late.

The Ulm 5 face up to five years in prison for taking direct action against an Israeli Elbit Systems weapons facility in Germany.

I've got a secret for you, Freeper. It's been extremely difficult and expensive to eat healthy in North America for the last thirty years, and it gets more difficult every year. The laws and the economy are set up to force people to eat fast food or processed food.
I’ve got a secret for you. The only reason these products are on the market is because people buy them. If we stopped buying them, they wouldn’t be made. If more people bought healthier foods, the market would shift and companies would make healthier foods. Power already rests within the people, we are just making dumb decisions.
Former FDA Commissioner David Kessler:
“Over the last 40 years, the US has been exposed to something that our biology was never intended to handle: Energy dense, highly palatable, rapidly absorbable 𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 that have altered our metabolism and resulted in the greatest increase in chronic disease in our history.”
The food industry is poisoning us for profit and causing a massive spike in diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, and heart failure.
They add chemicals, preservatives, and artificial colorings to our food in order to cut costs because under our capitalist system their sole priority is profit, not the people’s nutritional health.
But why would our government allow the food industry to poison us? Because our government and both parties are bought off by the corporations making our food.
This is the core problem with allowing capital to control the government. Every law, every budget, and every decision made prioritizes corporate profits over the health, safety and well-being of the people.
Stunningly stupid anti-China hit piece from Simon Tisdall in the Guardian.
The complaint running through the article is that the West is not being hostile enough to China. A “debilitating fatalism” has taken hold. It’s “as though Xi’s China is now seen as simply too big, too economically powerful and too militarily threatening to influence, let alone contain or control”. Britain is “culpably silent” and has failed to articulate a coherent China policy.
What planet was this filed from? There’s a tariff war. There’s an export ban on advanced semiconductors. There’s AUKUS and the Quad. There’s a chain of US bases running from Japan through the Philippines to Australia, with nine EDCA (Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement) sites in the Philippines alone. There’s arms sales to Taiwan and a steady hollowing-out of the One China policy. There’s RIMPAC war games. There’s a relentless propaganda war seeking to demonise and alienate China.
Tisdall opens with an attack on China’s new ethnic unity law, and asks the reader to imagine a British prime minister banning the Welsh language in schools. An unfortunate choice of analogy. Wales is where children had a wooden board hung round their necks for the crime of speaking their mother tongue.
China’s ethnic unity law, by contrast, explicitly reaffirms the right of every people to use and develop its own spoken and written language. Inner Mongolia runs some 1,900 minority-language schools. Xinjiang publishes newspapers and broadcasts in six languages. Minority students receive preferential university admission, the national minorities were exempt from the one-child policy throughout its existence, and Xizang and Xinjiang receive the highest per-capita central government transfers in the country. Britain offers none of this to anybody.
Tisdall then asserts “wholesale repression in Tibet and brutal re-education camps in Xinjiang” and moves straight on. No evidence, no source. That story has been through the Adrian Zenz–ASPI–NED laundry often enough that the Guardian now feels able to drop it in as an aside.
On Iran, China is “reportedly planning” to supply air defence systems. The US is currently bombing Iran and has armed a genocide in Gaza for two and a half years. Tisdall’s alarm is reserved for the prospect of someone helping Iran shoot the missiles down.
On the economy, Xi is “failing to deliver” – in an article which four sentences earlier had him “winning trade and tech wars” and prompting Trump to request a summit after China signed AI partnerships with 28 countries. Both cannot be true – and only one of them is sourced.
Tisdall dislikes Trump and says so. He notes the US administration’s “trashing of the post-1945 global order, disdain for international law and national sovereignty (as seen in Venezuela and Greenland), and strained relations with traditional allies such as Japan, South Korea and European Nato countries”. And yet the real problem is China: “Xi is still an unelected autocrat, a thug in a suit who relies on force to stay in power”.
Unelected by what measure? China has an extensive system of people’s democracy with elections from village to national level. It’s not the “Westminster system” of capitalist democracy, which turns out not to be terribly democratic (as Joseph Stiglitz has described the state of modern governance in the West, “of the 1 percent, by the 1 percent, for the 1 percent”); in fact Chinese people enjoy a far more meaningful democracy than their Western peers. Meanwhile, successive surveys, including by the Harvard Ash Center, have found satisfaction with China’s central government running above 90 percent.
The sole purpose of the article is to call on Western governments to escalate their anti-China campaign, and to supply the human-rights framing that makes such an escalation appear principled. Quintessential wolf in sheep’s clothing liberalism.
As Malcolm X said, “I have more respect for a man who lets me know where he stands, even if he’s wrong, than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil”.
Israel is so evil that simply stating verified facts about things the IDF indisputably did can be presented to an uninformed audience as an antisemitic conspiracy theory solely because it sounds too evil to be true.
