But by soon I decided to take a step back and not rush it. I want to build something...and here's my thought process to launching such a project.

A pen pal from discord named James came by our apartment. The door was left open and he let himself in as we were waking up from major jet lag. Ethan served up some green tea and we began traveling around the outskirts of Tokyo. I ran out of film so we started looking for medium format rolls to make more photographs. We found film at a cute camera shop nearby James' suburb. Then we all boarded the train and departed to opposite directions of the city. James planned to meet us again with his wife and daughter, Maya, for the video shoot. We met at a botanical venue. There were a handful of bride and grooms with their families planning on getting married. James surprised us with a tea ceremony before heading into the flower garden to walk around the landscaping. I noticed Maya had a pink toy camera around her neck right as we were passing a pink floral bush. I directed Maya to walk towards me and gestured to use her toy camera to take a photo of me. This was a precious moment for the whole family as we were teaching James daughter the power of photography!

A story on Accumulation and Conviction in Web 3:

Firstly, we are infinitely Grateful to share that we have successfully acquired a full set of 78 of my colorful Smoke and Mirrors Tarot Scrolls. We are Thankful for everyone in the community who helped make this happen with us!!!

Jason and I launched this mixed media Nft project in February, 2021 out of @gabbagallery. We were in the studio up until the beginning of 2023 producing all of the silkscreens in the collection; Some of which are being exhibited in galleries, fairs, and museums today!

We originally sold each NFT with its physical counterpart for .21 ETH. At the time I believed in releasing all of the artworks into circulation and not holding onto an entire set. So that we may participate in the ecosystem of the artwork in a noble and honest way.

By the middle of 2023 after royalties became controversial and non-existent on most platforms. I realized two things.

1. Since there were no royalties being honored any longer, there was not a sustainable way to bring in 10% of all sales, as artists had originally depended on. Then it became clear to me to start collecting my artwork and participate in my own success. And by buying back my artworks I would have a larger stake and ownership in the pieces that I could potentially sell at a later date for 100% instead of a 10% royalty.

2. How historically important it was for us to own a full set of colorful tarot scrolls after one of my biggest collectors, LFT.eth, purchased a full black and white set of the Dark Papyrus 1/3 edition for 250k. This generous act inspired me to start committing most, if not all, of my crypto into buying back and trading to redeem all of the colorful scrolls once again!

Before it was too late, I knew there would not be another opportunity to own a full colorful set. So I do what I normally do, and set out to do the irrational & impossible!

The discipline & dedication to the craft and undeniable belief in myself was the driving force behind Twin Flames and is now the factor for Smoke and Mirrors to manifest the completion. I know that someday this collection will show side by side with Andy Warhol’s Campbells Soup Can Collection which is housed at MoMA. To juxtapose with one of my artistic inspirations working in different mediums.

I’m in the business of making dreams come true through how the art works!

The final photograph of Freddie Mercury, taken in 1991, captures a poignant moment in his life. His partner, Jim Hutton, took this picture at their residence in London. Freddie Mercury, renowned as the lead vocalist of the iconic rock band Queen, is widely regarded as one of the greatest musicians of all time. Queen's composition and production of the legendary song "Bohemian Rhapsody" further solidify their status as one of the best bands in history. Notably, Mercury was an influential figure in the LGBT community during his lifetime and continues to be an inspiration today. Sadly, he succumbed to bronchial pneumonia as a result of AIDS.

In this photograph, Mercury appears visibly frail, with his skin tone and facial complexion displaying paleness compared to previous images.

Brian May, the guitarist of Queen, once recounted a conversation he had with Mercury during a dinner where they discussed his battle with AIDS. May recollected Mercury's words, stating, "The problem was actually his foot, and tragically there was very little left of it. Once, he showed it to us at dinner. And he said, 'Oh Brian, I'm sorry I've upset you by showing you that!'" May responded empathetically, saying, "I'm not upset, Freddie, except to realize you have to put up with all this terrible pain."

Tragically, Mercury passed away mere months before significant medical advancements against AIDS became available on the market. May expressed his sorrow, saying, "He missed by just a few months. If it had been a bit later, he would still have been with us, I'm sure. You can't engage in 'what if,' can you? You can’t go there because therein lays madness"
