there was no home left. there never had been. only soil, and blood, and the things that grow in between.

late dinner after a hard days work ^^

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

/ but his eyeball is gone so its just empty under it besides all the scarring. you can probably see traces of it poking out from under the eyepatch if you looked real close at his face

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

/ the wound & scarring under larks eyepatch is peculiar. the best i can describe it is being similar to tokinaga's from after god in terms of the pattern, but it's definitely more gnarly than his

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

/ the scarring around where his arm would be is also similar, just not as severe. the way he lost both his arm & eye was brutal and strange and so was the way be endured it and it shows in the marks it left on him.

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

his sword had left; intending to use it to distract scar enough to regain his weapon & strike again. )

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

( his eye widens a fraction, surprised that his attack landed. it created an instant rush of adrenaline that dulled the ache of scar's kick, but he was still caught off balance by it regardless, skidding across the snow until his boots ˖

scar could only chuckle and smirk. )

impressive ~
but not confident enough ~

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

dug in deep enough to steady himself again. )

tch.

( without his sword, lark knew he was at a disadvantage——so he needed to get it back. wasting no time, he lunged forward, prosthetic arm swinging in a punch aimed right at the wound ˖

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

strength by reaching out & grabbing hold of the overseer, yanking his body forward into the path of his blade for the second time. the trembling is more evident now that the sword is in his human hand, but lark hopes it will be fine. )

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

hmph. less talking, more fighting.

( the explosion does little to deter him, now that he is more experienced with scar's fighting style. lark swaps his sword into his other hand, freeing his prosthetic——taking advantage of its grip ˖

[‍‍ ‍‍🃏 ┆ scar . @fracturedlamb]

( he lets that card flick towards the other's non dominant hand; letting the same card explode to redirect the blade's hit just enough for him to dodge and swiftly move to the side. )

ohoho ~ how impressive, you're becoming more confident, my dearest~ 🥰

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

/ i cant do a shipping chart for lark because im really not all that picky abt characters.. if there's good chemistry between them & lark anything is possible. the world is his oyster. he can love whoever he wants. I'll just feel bad for them from afar

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

blade towards his back, hoping the speed will make up for the tremble in his shoulders. )

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

good. you're finally taking me seriously.

( lark takes a deep breath to steady his mind, before rushing forward to attack——despite all his problems, he still maintains a significant speed in his strikes, ducking behind scar to thrust his ˖

[‍‍ ‍‍🃏 ┆ scar . @fracturedlamb]

( he takes out one card, letting it spin between fingers. )

mm ... alright ~
if you wish for a serious fight, then i must~

( the overseer waits for him to come over, a smile on his face—)

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

hmph. i look forward to wiping the floor with you.

( once scar is up, lark draws his sword with his prosthetic arm, pointing the blade at him. )

stop underestimating me and take this seriously, okay? or you'll regret it.

[‍‍ ‍‍🃏 ┆ scar . @fracturedlamb]

liar~

( he chuckles, standing up with ease, his long hair continues to cover most of his face. )

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

not at all.

( he steps back when scar sits up, gaze shifting to the snow next to him, sighing. )

i haven't been shaking so much recently when fighting hillichurls, so i want to give it another shot. i know i can beat you eventually.

[‍‍ ‍‍🃏 ┆ scar . @fracturedlamb]

now you're worried about me?

( he's sat up, looking quite excited — holding his chest as if his heart is about to explode. )

spar? ~ do you have more trust in your combat abilities this time? ~ ☺️

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

at least get off the floor. you'll catch a cold——you should know by now that snezhnayan snow is no joke.

( poking him with his foot. )

.. i know what will get you to shut up. do you want to spar with me?

[‍‍ ‍‍🃏 ┆ scar . @fracturedlamb]

i know that's never going to happen, i'd much rather be more forward with you~

( making snow angels on the ground--)

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

.. * 😒

( resisting the urge to kick him in the ribs. )

stop being such a baby. if you just behaved and acted normal for once, maybe i would enjoy your company more.

[‍‍ ‍‍🃏 ┆ scar . @fracturedlamb]

( flops on the ground, sighing — )

so booooring-----! 😩

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

urgh. nevermind. leave me alone or i'll kill you.

[‍‍ ‍‍🃏 ┆ scar . @fracturedlamb]

i love you too ~ 😘

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

* 💢 i really don't like you.

[‍‍ ‍‍🃏 ┆ scar . @fracturedlamb]

i'm a mess for you . 🥰

[ᅟ ‍ ͟..ᅟ🜖 ‍❟ ᅟ▇▇▇▇. @underbarks]

that was not a compliment, you know. * 😒
