@toonfactory It has nothing to do with any infra. It's literally a libertarian can do spirit - which prioritises work over everything else. It was there when there was no infra. And that's what makes this the only place in India really worth living in. I find rest of India is like a village.
@toonfactory No. I am sorry but you came too late (in your life) to the city. You are analyzing as someone who is from another land. :) it's really true. The way I see Mumbai is quite different from how my wife and daughter see Mumbai - having been born here. That spirit is more in them
@toonfactory@Chaayos Chaayos is shit and I have refused give them a dime since theg started and their IIT cronies tried peddling their shit at my meetings at IIT
@toonfactory No city can handle 100 mm + in 2 hours.
But yes Mumbai doesn't get what it deserves. No Top Central Minister is from Mumbai. Notice that? At least Finance should always be a Mumbai person? But Mumbai is just for sucking dry. A Mumbai person barely even becomes CM.
@toonfactory No. That's what I am saying. That's not true. And it's not resilience. That spirit is - we will get it done .any which way.
City is sucked dry by rest of India. So Mumbai citizens have no recourse. Mumbai should get to keep 75% of all its taxes till Mumbai becomes a livable city
@toonfactory My point being - unless you come to this city early in your life or you are born here - it's pretty difficult to understand what's meant by the spirit of Mumbai. It's something Mumbai, New York and Hongkong have. It's - increasingly disappears form HK and almost halved in NY
Assume the movie had flopped and the director lost his entire $750,000 investment. How many crew members would have voluntarily returned their fees to help offset his loss?
This is the fundamental asymmetry in risk and reward. When someone puts up their own capital and shoulders the real financial risk especially in a high-failure industry like entertainment they alone bear the downside.
Yet the moment the project succeeds, suddenly everyone who was paid upfront wants a bigger piece of the pie. The same people who would not have shared in the loss now feel entitled to share disproportionately in the upside.
If you accept payment for your work regardless of outcome, you’ve already been compensated for your risk (or lack thereof). Why should the person who risked everything not be allowed to reap the rewards when their gamble pays off?
Depends on what works for each person. My energy levels are higher with each hours after 4 pm. My peak is 7-9 pm. I cannot waste my energy sleeping at 8.30 pm. I sleep at 2 mostly. Up by 8. Don't do any calls before noon. No meetings before 1 pm. And no creative work before 3.
@HrishiKay@Vivek_Nayer Nothing good lasts in India. Kingfisher, Jet, hypercity ..the list is long - and now 94.3 - the only fm station i ever listened to
@ghazalawahab@waglenikhil That is because you bought into your own propaganda that he is a Dictator. After all these years - it is clear he never was - so now you feel comfortable blocking him. We never said he was a dictator and we mocked him in @JayHind in 2014 also and before that too.
