@Chad_Em_Gee@OmarKelly You’re not wrong, but the original post was praising the current GM for this O line when in reality, Grier brought in 4 of the 5. You can’t say now that Grier is gone look how good our line is, when they’re 80% players he brought in.
@C17080776@FalcoholicKevin@Luando25@markigity Excuse for what? I said his navigating of pressure is a weakness. This isn’t a pro tua post I just disagree with the idea that this stat (without context) means as much as Kevin made it seem. Kyler and Caleb Williams are similar style players but on way different ends of the list
@C17080776@FalcoholicKevin@Luando25@markigity It’s definitely a weakness of his. But when you look at teams who had multiple starters they’re almost all in the same area of this chart. Cousins and Penix 1 spot difference Stroud/Mills 3 spots, Mariota/Daniels 6 spots off. Teams/situation matter. Not sure why that’s a hot take
@FalcoholicKevin@Luando25@markigity I agree with all of that. A good QB can definitely mitigate the number of sacks taken. It’s why a lot of the guys toward the top aren’t even the most mobile. But to get a true comparison you’d have to put everyone in the same situation because there’s too many other variables.
@FalcoholicKevin@Luando25@markigity Still doesn’t make it only a QB stat tho. Also has a lot to do with where pressure comes from, the teams pressure plan, down and distance when the sack was taken, etc. It’s not a meaningless stat, but this alone doesn’t tell you who is and is not good at avoiding sacks.
@GageStriker@Underdog@ESPNCleveland Thats true, but he’s only played 19 games in the last 5 years. He missed all of 2021 and 2025. And only played like 6 games each season in the other 3 years. I can’t imagine anyone being able to maintain a high level of play with playing that few number of games.
@Martinvanty@flasportsbuzz If they think Willis is their future franchise guy then it’s the right move. I just think it’s unwise to spend that money on an unproven player for a team that has such a bad roster. But they’ve seen him play/practice more than I have so hopefully they’re right.
@rmetz85@flasportsbuzz Well aware of that. Also aware that you have 75 million of cap space tied to the QB position which limits the moves you can make. Just not a fan of giving what I think is a bridge QB that much money to play on a bad roster. Hopefully I’m wrong
@CannataPFSN What top candidates do you think are missing here? Genuine question, I haven’t looked into any of these people aside from Halaby and Sullivan.
@RalphDi15570862@BigOShow They’ve scored 14 points against a bottom 3 defense in the league. Team sucks, it’s okay to admit it’s because of more than one player.
@SiClancy Do you find it concerning that there are reports of him coming back, even though they haven’t hired a GM yet? Seems like you’d want the new GM to make that call.
@KyleCrabbs@DanteCollinelli Waddle is great, but I’m pretty sure he has more than one drop this season. Either way the whole body catching and jumping when he doesn’t need to stuff has always been overblown.
