The EA forum is basically tied with the Fine Homebuilding forum in uses of the term "load-bearing". 2995 for the EA forum vs 3029 for Fine Homebuilding
@metachirality@morallawwithin Sure, but Grok didn't mention those.
I also think the Smoking Lesion is misleading, and EDT there is fine once you properly condition on your desire to smoke.

I'm excited to announce Principled Agents, a research nonprofit! Our aim is to develop principled solutions for core problems in AI alignment, ensuring the goals we give AGI are beneficial and safe. We're currently hiring and running a monthly discussion group, see below.
The Researcher and Research Assistant roles start as remote, contract positions, but we hope to make full-time offers with in-person options. The details and application forms are at https://t.co/XozZPuQOda, please share with anyone you think could be a good fit.
@ohabryka If orgs are applying for matching without being told or asking how much extra funding is included, that seems to imply it doesn't affect the decision
I recently learned that SFF lets grantees choose to receive "matching" funding rather than the same amount guaranteed. I think it's dishonest and manipulative to fundraise further based on SFF matching donations without disclosing that the extra pressure was entirely optional.
@ohabryka Ok, I must be misinterpreting the line starting "The Funder determines a fixed portion of the overall funding to be distributed in the form of Matching Pledges".
If donors wouldn't mind, then orgs raising from SFF can disclose "We chose $Y in matching funds over $X guaranteed".
@ohabryka My understanding of SFFs documentation is that this is committed funds that would otherwise go to other grantees, not additional funds raised
