Interval of Quiet is an infinite, seamless browser-based generative artwork of slowly shifting colour fields, rendered in real time using JavaScript, WebGL, and GLSL shaders.

The work is presented as part of the Searching for Balance auction, alongside works by other amazing artists. The exhibition explores the search for balance between our own desires and perceptions, the expectations of others, and the pressures of a rapidly changing, information-saturated environment.

This tension is familiar to anyone engaged in creative practice, but working with code and generative systems gives it a unique dimension.
