@BBCSteveR@BBCSteveR I can’t tell you how much I value these videos you make. I love the insight you’ve been providing and haven’t been able to find such a conclusive summary anywhere else on this platform. Please keep up these daily summaries…including the best of the joke section.
@DropSiteNews Acts like this are why people are turning against the state of Israel. They aren’t a one off either, they’re just another day in the region. It’s disgusting.
I watched Trump’s speech at the Correspondents’ Dinner last night.
It’s hard to articulate how sad it made me.
Sad and embarrassed and exhausted.
Here is the thing about a man who is a joke. He can’t tell one.
People think humor is a talent. It isn’t. It’s a capacity. To make someone laugh you have to be able to laugh at yourself, and to laugh at yourself you have to step outside of yourself and see what everyone else sees. For one second you have to be just another person in the room.
Most people can do this by the time they are nine years old.
He has never once managed it. Not in fifty years of cameras. Not for a second.
That is not a quirk. It is a symptom. The muscle that lets you tell a joke is the same one that lets you feel what another person feels. A man who cannot survive being laughed at cannot imagine being anyone but himself. He will only ever be generous when it is photographed. He will only ever be kind when it is filmed.
There is a name for it.
So he stood up there and did what he always does. He hit down. He made jokes about people’s weight. He made jokes about their intelligence. He made jokes about how women look. He read out the names of people he doesn’t like, and mocked them. Always mocking. And when no one laughed he blamed his speech writers.
The cruelty dressed as humor has worn so thin.
And for the 30% of you still in the cult who will inevitably call me a crackhead and blame it all on my Dad, all I can say is please, for the love of God, open your eyes. Wake the fuck up. Have some dignity. Have some pride.
Joe Biden wasn’t standing at that podium last night. Donald Trump was.
And at the end of it he put on a red hat that said Trump 2028 and told the room he was running again. No one laughed because everyone knows he has no intention of leaving.
Just another joke at our expense.
These clips of Elon really give you insight into one of the reasons why DOGE was such a spectacular failure: Huge arrogance, complete rejection of anything that challenges his perspective or priors, and total belief in his own expertise despite being obviously wrong about stuff.
The hypocrisy knows no bounds. Socialism is bad but it’s a-okay if Trump takes stakes in American companies like US Steel and Intel. The words mean nothing anymore. Only the team does.
Let me explain this absurd ruse: The Pentagon is pretending there have been two Iran wars separated by a brief cease-fire.
The reality: By going more than 90 days without congressional authorization @SecWar IS BREAKING THE LAW and must be held accountable.
📺This Peter Sellers routine is a great reminder of how talented he was with accents and timing.
He slips into a Cockney character in an Italian restaurant and just owns the bit. The voice work, the pacing, and the way he lands the jokes all feel effortless. Sellers could disappear into characters better than almost anyone of his era, and this clip shows that skill in a pure stand-up/sketch format.
His technical ability as a performer is still impressive.
❓Do you think Peter Sellers is underrated today as a pure comedy technician, or does he still get the credit he deserves? 👇

We are supposedly at war to stop Iran from enriching the uranium we “obliterated” over a year ago.
Yesterday we signed a deal to help Saudi Arabia enrich uranium.
The first time the United States has ever helped another country enrich uranium on foreign soil.
The Saudis refused the inspection protocol 140 other countries accept. Too intrusive, they said.
Trump agreed. He signed a national security waiver to get around the rule.
The Saudis paid Kushner $100 million. They put $2 billion into his firm. They put another $6 billion into LIV Golf, which pays Trump properties to host its tournaments. They signed ten billion dollars in Trump-branded real estate deals in Jeddah and Riyadh. All in just the last few years.
But sure. My paintings.
The Economist: You have close to 250 million followers on X. You say things like "civil war in Britain is inevitable. Just a question of when"
Elon Musk: On the current trend, yes.
The Economist: When were you last in the UK?
Musk: A few years ago
The Economist: Exactly. I live there. That is nonsense. The numbers also disprove what you say. London is a much safer city than any city in the US. You have painted Europe and the UK as overrun with terrifying Muslim immigrants, there's rape on every corner, there's civilizational destruction.
Musk: I didn't say any of those things.
Those of us who served in the military or in the federal government remember the strict ethical rules we were required to follow in order to avoid the appearance of impropriety. My daughter couldn’t sell a $2 bar of band candy to anyone junior to me and if visited a company that did business with the government and they offered me a cup of coffee and a doughnut I had to decline it or pay for it.
Trump has made exploiting “public service” for personal enrichment the centerpiece of his year and a half in office. He ran on reforming a government that many felt favored the rich and powerful and ignored working class Americans and on making things more affordable for everyone. Instead, he’s spent lavishly on a gold plated lifestyle for himself and he’s given regular folks $4+ gas and $39.5 trillion pile of debt.
In 2025, Trump made $2.2 billion while claiming he was working tirelessly and at great personal sacrifice for the American people.
The largest part of his $2.2 billion windfall— $800 million — came from World Liberty Financial, his family’s crypto firm. The Trump’s own 38% of WLF and their main partner (with a 49% stake) is Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan from the United Arab Emirates. You may recall that the Founding Fathers put the Foreign Emoluments Clause in the Constitution to prevent the corrupting influence on our nation’s leaders of foreign entanglements . . . how quaint.
His second most lucrative endeavor was his $TRUMP meme coin. He pocketed a $636 million dollar profit while a million investors in his coin lost $3.8 billion. The coin that once fetched a price of $75 is currently worth a buck sixty, a 98% decline in value. And you may recall that Trump launched his meme coin just 72 hours before his inauguration. Well played!
Congress is debating the Clarity Act, which would supposedly regulate the crypto industry. Democrats are pushing for a provision in the bill that would prohibit public officials from selling digital currencies, but Republicans want to weaken the language to allow Trump to continue lining his pockets with crypto gold. Public integrity . . . how quaint.
And the whole family is in on the action. Trump Junior’s investment firm earned a 200% return compared with an average 21% return earned by its peers. As an example of Junior’s “luck,” his firm invested in Vulcan Elements, a company that produces rare earth minerals, which was valued at $200 million at the time of the investment. Shortly thereafter, the Pentagon loaned Vulcan $620 million of your taxpayer dollars after the White House leaned on the Defense Department to make the loan and suddenly the $200 million dollar company saw its value soar to $2 billion dollars. Sweet!
Just yesterday Trump said again that we’re living in a Golden Age. That’s certainly true for him and his family, but unless you’re one of the oligarchs, you’re getting a Golden Shower. Enjoy!
We have 12 days before they declare that Mitch McConnell is dead and it’s too late to hold a special election. Is anybody gonna say anything?
Isn’t there like some kind of investigative journalist out there who can figure this out?
