The devastating flash floods in Nepal a month ago have cut off communities from critical services and damaged essential water and sanitation infrastructure.
Watch how UNICEF and partners are taking every route possible to ensure communities receive an additional layer of protection from diseases through vaccination.

From New York to Abu Dhabi, advancing the global water agenda.
On the sidelines of #UNGA81, UNICEF and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs brought partners together to accelerate action on water and build momentum toward the UN Water Conference in Abu Dhabi this December.
For children, water security is inseparable from health, nutrition, education, climate resilience and stability. The 2026 UN Water Conference can be a moment to bring these agendas together

From the Gulf to #UNGA81 🌍
We’re taking regional experiences and partnerships to New York- advancing conversations on responsible AI, early childhood, youth skills, water resilience, humanitarian action and development finance.
The goal: stronger outcomes for children.
At #UNGA81, UNICEF Gulf will highlight how governments, development institutions, philanthropies and businesses across the Gulf are helping address the interconnected challenges facing children, from humanitarian crises to the future of learning and work.
“Education is a lifeline for children in conflict and crisis. We must do everything we can to protect it.” - UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Sir David Beckham.
This #ProtectEducationFromAttack Day, join us and Sir David Beckham in championing the right to education in safety #ForEveryChild.
Meet Zuhair, 12.
A bomb left him needing a wheelchair, but not without his dream of becoming a doctor.
When schools closed in Sudan, volunteer teacher Etra opened her home for catch-up lessons, helping children continue learning through printed materials and the @UNICEF-supported Learning Passport.
Education survives when we #UniteToProtect.
No child should ever fear going to school. But today millions do.
Attacks on schools have deprived millions of children of their right to an education. Children, and their education, must always be protected.
#UniteToProtect
A new school year should bring hope.
But for millions of children in crisis, learning is out of reach.
Attacks on schools, students & teachers are disrupting education & children's futures.
Protect education. Protect childhood. Protect the future.
#ProtectEducationFromAttack
Children should never have to choose between asking for help and facing consequences they fear.
Supportive, non-judgmental responses can make it much safer for children and young people to speak up and get the help they need. #DisruptingHarm
@KSRelief and UNICEF partnership delivers lifesaving health and nutrition support for children and families in Gaza

Three children were reported killed in #Gaza, including two girls aged 3 & 10 and a boy aged 13, with at least five others injured over past 24-hrs.
Our thoughts are with all the families grieving.
Explosive weapons and indiscriminate fire must be avoided to protect children.
What must the humanitarian system stop doing if we are serious about resilience?
Stop working in silos.
Stop waiting for systems to fail.
Stop separating humanitarian action from recovery and development.
Stop normalizing unacceptable conditions.
What does resilience really mean when crises are increasingly protracted, interconnected and overlapping?
At #DIHAD2026, @WFP brought humanitarian partners together to explore how we move beyond repeated emergency response and invest earlier in people, systems and preparedness.
Sean Carroll from @AneraOrg took it further:
“Resilience isn’t the goal. Safety, security, income, is the goal.”
People do not experience “humanitarian” needs one day and “development” needs the next. They need food, water, shelter, services, livelihoods and a future.
