WARNER ARCHIVE 2026 MID-YEAR REVIEW 🎊
It has been an absolutely stellar first half of the year. And yet, based on everything George Feltenstein of the Warner Archive has shared with us in the podcasts, I think that the second half of the year can be EVEN BETTER.

Let's review what has released through June 30th.
1 4K + Blu-ray Combo
5 Animated Blu-ray Releases
7 Film Collections on Blu-ray
36 Individual Blu-rays
This does not include two titles pushed into mid-July (Last Summer Blu-ray & Letty Lynton DVD)

The total quantity of releases is impressive. However, one title stands out in terms of sheer importance to cinephiles - and that of course is LETTY LYNTON. It's unlikely we'll have a repeat of something of this magnitude, possibly for years (or decades).

WHY can the next six months be EVEN BETTER?

Only one 4K has been released in 2026. I think we can expect more in the latter half of the year.

5 Animated titles is terrific. But none rise to the excitement of the LOONEY TUNES COLLECTOR'S VAULT Vol. 3, which should likely release before the end of the year. Meanwhile, there seems to be a regular cadence of animated releases that should continue.

36 INDIVIDUAL Blu-rays is amazing. However, George Feltenstein has said there are OVER 100 being worked on for future release, with many HIGHLY REQUESTED titles. That sure sounds like it might be possible to exceed 36 for the rest of the year.

Film Collections - we haven't had any Film Collections since April, so I don't know if/when we will get more. However, these collections are just icing on the cake as each of the included films have already been released individually.

WHAT about the potential Paramount merger?
I have no more insight than you, so only time will tell. But it feels likely that any merger wouldn't immediately stop the restorations and releases. So until then, let's keep supporting the WAC.

Marked Woman (1937) has Bogie as an honest attorney helping clip joint waitress Bette Davis who works for gangster Edward Cianelli. Bogie would soon achieve stardom, but we're still early in his development as a screen actor. All the details will be in the book

According to Penguin Random House, it looks like we will be getting hardcovers released for the Indiana Jones: The Further Adventures books one and two!

Releasing September 29th, 2026 for $75 each with book one being 528 pages and book two being 512 pages!

@wdwpro1 This is just another way you lose viewers, way too long between season and they r way too short, whatever happen to a 24 episode season, one looses interest and with such short season, you really don’t get enough story.
