@salopcast Feel like we could do with Sang coming off and getting Ojinaka in there for some physical presence as we’re not being strong enough in midfield.
@ALSKIEGRIFF@salopcast There’s definitely something to gain from this if we win. Getting a 1st win of the season - regardless of competition - will definitely give the players some confidence that they can take into Saturday. A wins a win at the end of the day.
@salopcast If they’re part of the unwanted list Nurse (26) & Gillead (29) are more likely to get a move then a 33 year old Nsiala and 31 year old Benning with 2 weeks left in the window
@luke_STFC18 It’s the core of the team of last season - Gilliead, Biggins, Savin especially in midfield that are completely lacking in confidence that’s spreading across the team. When Perry & Sang came on we looked a different team before the red card.
@Salop_Nathan Signing Clucas is a great signing, he’s got noticeably more quality than any of our other CMs. 5 at the back + Clucas playing CDM you feel that we could take a risk with more attacking CMs who do less defensive work. A player like Tommy O’Reilly is exactly who we could do with
@salopcast This is the sort of game that’s going to decide whether we stay up or go down. It’s nice to be on an unbeaten run but draws aren’t going to do us much good. With teams above us finding wins we need to match them, a draw or a loss today and I think we’re heading for relegation.
@salopcast There is absolutely no pace in this starting XI. So counter-attacking is really out the window… and we do not have enough quality to play through Oxford. So what’s the plan?
@alexsimpson99@B_and_A_Fanzine For me, it’s not the formation - or any formation - it’s this teams natural instinct to not take risks. Sure, there’s something to be said for being rock-solid at the back as a foundation but not at the expense of not being a threat.
