Happy 33rd birthday to the incredible Ariana Grande-Butera.
Following her debut, the Grammy-winning vocalist and Academy Award nominated actress quickly proved herself in having one of the most impressive voices in pop music today. Her record-breaking music career includes universally-acclaimed albums such as ‘Sweetener’, ‘thank u, next’, ‘Dangerous Woman.’ The star is currently performing on her sold-out Eternal Sunshine tour, in which she is simultaneously promoting the release of her upcoming album ‘petal.’ She is one of the most streamed artists in history, with 10 #1 Billboard Hot 100 hits to her name.
Random, but I miss the Midnights era so much. 98 Metacritic debut (universally acclaimed from the beginning because the numbers weren’t out yet and people didn’t yet have the urge to punish Taylor for being “too successful”). Midnights Mayhem With Me. The elaborate build-up to the era. The entire aesthetic. The pure pop bliss of listening to the very first note of Lavender Haze. Midnights being perfect and literally Taylor’s most unskippable album to date. The last era of people being normal to Taylor (before El*n destroyed the social ecosystem of this app). Taypraise left and right. Visual album rumors. Midnights breaking the biggest Spotify debut of all time (and antis being gagged at there being no “female” 😭). Swifties being absolutely flabbergasted of the numbers and historic records. Literal mass breakdowns of Taytrier fandoms. HITSDD projecting 1M+ debut. Record after record after record. Two top-tier music videos in a week. Initial Hot 100 projections sending swifties into a frenzy because of the possibility of Taylor becoming the first to ever occupy the entire Top 10. Antis streaming Unholy in a desperate attempt. Swifties doing buy parties for Question and Vigilante Sh*t. Arianators provoking swifties with their “solo top 3” record clownery. Swifties boosting Maroon in response (lol). Midnights debuting with 1.578M on Billboard 200 and triumphantly occupying the entire Top 10 of the Hot 100. Anti-Hero blocking several A-list releases week after week. Bejeweled dance going mega-viral. Listening parties, Midnights-themed events, and a string of phenomena leading up to Taylormania. Then Taylor sealing the deal and announcing *the* biggest tour of all time.
WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE 😩
@GuesstOlse44799@xaesgarden@brndxix@Liv_Agar like could she have said this better? sure. does it really villify her for having such reaction? i don't agree.
idk its hard for someone in that scenario to really expect halsey to respond constructively when the review itself isn't entirely impartial 😭
@GuesstOlse44799@xaesgarden@brndxix@Liv_Agar while i do agree considering that this is not the first time halsey crashed out over a review, i'd say her reaction is more than justified considering she literally got mocked for having main character syndrome while she was battling cancer
I’m certain my least memorable song will be remembered more fondly and for more time than anything you ever do with your life will be. Everything you say is more “whiny” and “edgy” than I was at any point on that album. But at least I had the excuse of going through chemo.
‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’ by Olivia Rodrigo surpasses ‘ICEMAN’ by Drake to become the biggest debut by a solo act of 2026 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Biggest Pure Sales debuts by a gen z artist in the US:
1. Music by Madonna — 420k
2. Ray Of Light by Madonna — 371k
3. MDNA by Madonna — 359k
4. Hard Candy by Madonna — 280k
5. You seem pretty sad for a girl so in love by Olivia Rodrigo — 273k (NEW)
@itsallaboutmar britney had the bigger debut but i think bey has the bigger era if we're talking purely about hits since she had cil, baby boy, naughty girl, and me myself and i
either way both are iconic stars
