@utdrobbo@Davaiii@David_Ornstein@AlexanderBrkr@TheAthleticFC Well as a United fan I of course looked into our new managers earlier tenures?
He began brilliantly and lifted them from struggling to almost promotion, but then they turned average the next 2 years.
I’m afraid the same will happen at Utd but I hope I’m wrong
@utdrobbo@Davaiii@David_Ornstein@AlexanderBrkr@TheAthleticFC Look at recent managers who had long term success in the PL, like klopp and pep. They struggled in the beginning because a team can’t instantly adapt to their ideas.
With Carrick, there’s nothing drastic to adapt to, and long term that won’t function, like with Ole
@utdrobbo@Davaiii@David_Ornstein@AlexanderBrkr@TheAthleticFC Ole also beat city frequently, doesn’t mean he was a top class manager.
What I look for in a manager for Utd is signals for long term consistency. Carrick didn’t achieve that in Middlesbrough.
I put this seasons success down to him putting right players in the right situations
@utdrobbo@Davaiii@David_Ornstein@AlexanderBrkr@TheAthleticFC Everyone entitled to their opinion.
I think the Sunderland game is a perfect example of what our team will look like when fatigued from CL and PL.
If you’re honest to yourself, don’t you think Xabi Alonso has a higher ceiling than Carrick as a manager?
@Davaiii@utdrobbo@David_Ornstein@AlexanderBrkr@TheAthleticFC Yeah of course different managers are different managers, but it’s the exact same situation.
Carrick didn’t perform in Middlesbrough. This season he’s relied on individual quality. Great interim manager, but won’t work when we have 3 competitions
@TheFergusonWay@OptaAnalyst Which will put Amorim under pressure and which is exactly what the league wants as it gives them spotlight. Corruption at its finest
@evertonbd@centredevils@MirrorFootball “A manager manages his resources” Exactly what EtH did and that got him sacked. But maybe he was a terrible manager as well?
Let me tell you, none of them are terrible managers, they are just in a terrible situation at this club and it will take time to fix
@evertonbd@centredevils@MirrorFootball Isn’t it incredible that every successful manager suddenly turns to shit when they go to United? Because that’s what you’re saying right?
Let’s sack Amorim and bring in another one, and keep doing that over and over again. Because it can’t possibly be the players that are shit
