Join us as we celebrate Pride across Wales. 🏳️🌈
We'll be standing alongside our LGBT+ members at Pride events across Wales, to celebrate diversity, equality and inclusion.
📍 Caerffili – 4th July
📍 North Wales (Holyhead) – 18th July
📍 Pride in the Port (Newport) – 5th Sept
Our members are rightly concerned about the delays to Tata Steel's electric arc furnace project in Port Talbot.
They deserve transparency, certainty, and a clear plan to safeguard jobs and secure the future of steelmaking in Port Talbot.
Brilliant to see so many members come together in Cardiff on Saturday for our Organisers Development Day.
A really positive and productive day, with great feedback from everyone who attended.
We’re looking forward to the next event in Wrexham on Saturday 20th June.
I want to thank the emergency services for bringing the situation at Port Talbot under control so quickly.
Thankfully no one was injured in the fire and workers were evacuated safely.
However, the fire did cause substantial damage to a vital production line.
Measures must now be put in place to protect jobs both at @TataSteelLtd and down the supply chain during any period of disruption.
Meanwhile we are asking Tata and the @GOVUK to ensure that operations are rebuilt as swiftly as possible. #PortTalbot https://t.co/BkRLdYU38x
Love Unites! Although June is globally celebrated as Pride month, the fight for LGBT+ equality continues every month, every day.
Happy Pride month from Unite your union!

🪧 TUC Cymru Congress showed its solidarity with striking Health Visitors in South Wales.
Health Visitors in Cwm Taf Morgannwg have been on strike for 3 months in the fight for fair pay.
Sefwch yn gryf.

We’d like to give a huge shout out to all of our members who contributed to a wide range of important motions at the @TUCCymru Congress this week.
We are so proud to see our members standing up, speaking out, and representing workers’ voices on such an important platform.
@TUCCymru Congress delegates have backed and stand in solidarity with @CwmTafMorgannwg Health Visitors in their dispute for fair pay.
Respect the role. Pay the rate.
🪧 Health visitors in South Wales have been on strike for 3 months to win the pay rate the NHS said they should get.
These workers do an incredibly important job. They should be paid the rate!
📣 Time for @Plaid_Cymru's @RhunapIorwerth to act, make the Health Board see sense and get these women back to work with the fair deal they deserve!

On the picket line this morning with health visitors in Wales, working for @CwmTafMorgannwg, who are fighting for pay.
We meet government next week.

On #IDAHOBIT, Unite Wales stands with LGBT+ people. As hard‑won rights come under attack — including from a rising far right — we reaffirm our commitment to equality, dignity and human rights.
We will always challenge hate and organise for justice and safety for all.
This week, our members at @CwmTafMorgannwg Health Visitors voted to extend their strike action for a further two months.

Health visitors perform essential work supporting families.
A job evaluation process concluded they should be paid at a 'band 7'.
So why are they still paid at 'band 6'?
And why has Hywel Daniel failed to negotiate a resolution to the Cwm Taf Health Visitors' strike?
If he won't act, it's time to go. Sign our petition: https://t.co/73pO6ZFaYy
We've launched a petition calling for the immediate resignation of Mr Hywel Daniel, Executive Director of People and lead negotiator for @CwmTafMorgannwg throughout our Health Visitors pay banding dispute.

We’ve received further support for our striking Health Visitors from @Plaid_Cymru, @WalesGreenParty and Independent @BethWinterCynon.
The letter calls on @CwmTafMorgannwg to honour agreed processes and upgrade all band 6 Health Visitors to band 7 and to resolve this dispute.
I spoke with @CwmTafMorgannwg health visitors recently at the #NHS rally - it's been a shameful response from the Cwm Taf Health Board regarding their dispute.
These vital, and highly skilled, health visitors are owed the right wage - something even the Welsh government has acknowledged and called on the Cwm Taf Health Board to pay.
