I watch everyone attend all these events from afar. From way outside looking in. It’s weird sort of being in the space but feeling like I have no place here. No voice. It’s a rough feeling. I’m struggling in life. Struggling here. I wish I could afford to go to these events but I can barely stay housed and keep my studio. I’m still taking care of my mother (some of you know she had a massive stroke back in 2021) but her health is quickly declining. Things feel so heavy and hopeless lately. I want to get back into things here but I feel like my ship has sailed years ago- I don’t even know where to re-start. I don’t know, just thinking out loud. I’m not even sure why I’m putting this out there, other than I want people to know I wish I had more of a place here but it’s hard to juggle everything and I don’t have the privilege of doing whatever it is I’m supposed to do to be fully seen.
