‼️🇺🇳 The @UN Statement Raises More Questions Than Answers.

The United Nations has announced that talks regarding end-of-year examinations for Sweida’s students were unable to overcome the existing challenges, and that the exams will proceed in Rural Damascus.

For many families in Sweida, this outcome is deeply disappointing. The central concern was never the examinations themselves, but the safety of thousands of students who may be required to travel under difficult and disputed security conditions.

If the stated priorities were student safety and the integrity of the examination process, many will ask why alternative arrangements inside Sweida could not be secured despite weeks of discussions and proposed guarantees.

The result leaves thousands of students and their families facing uncertainty, while the concerns that prompted the negotiations in the first place remain unresolved

While the terrorist authority in Damascus continues its deception and lies by issuing statements claiming that it will guarantee the safety and protection of Sweida’s students traveling outside Sweida to sit for their exams, reality completely shatters these false narratives.

Aya, a student who was on her way to Sweida only days after her graduationً few months back, was traveling on a civilian bus when members of the terrorist Syrian General Security and Bedouin tribal jihadists opened fire on the bus, murdering several innocent civilians, including women and children.

Aya was among those murdered simply because they were Druze. Meanwhile, the terrorist authority in Damascus has left the terrorist criminals responsible free, protected from accountability, and without any punishment or justice for their victims

• In Sweida, a suspect linked to the July attacks and massacres was detained for investigation within a local security framework.
As with any investigation, the outcome should be either confirmed charges or release if no evidence is proven.

Shortly after, an entire civilian family from Sweida including children and an infant was kidnapped outside the region in an apparent attempt to pressure for the suspect’s release.

According to local reports, the family was later moved from the Damascus area to Homs.

This raises a serious question:
How can armed kidnapping networks move families and children across multiple controlled areas with such freedom unless there is tolerance, coordination, or deliberate negligence?

Yet some platforms still try to portray both incidents as the same thing.

They are not.

There is a fundamental difference between investigating a suspect connected to documented massacres and war crimes, and kidnapping innocent civilians to use them as bargaining tools.

Civilians are not bargaining chips.
Justice cannot be built through the kidnapping of families and children.

Civilian infrastructure must not be affected under any circumstances.

It is not acceptable to label an entire region and its people based on unverified claims.

Drug trafficking in southern Syria is a complex, cross-border issue that has historically involved multiple areas and networks.

Addressing it requires credible evidence —not selective narratives.

Sweida has clearly stated its position:
against drug networks, and in support of transparency.

What is needed now is a credible, independent investigation under international oversight, with clear guarantees for accountability.

Stability is built on facts — not assumptions.
