❓: Can I still get a work-study job even if I don't have work-study as part of my financial aid offer?
➡: No, you must have work-study as part of your offer in order to get a work-study position. There are still many student worker jobs around campus open to any UNK student.
❓: What is work-study?
➡: Work-study is a form of financial aid that is given to students whose FAFSA demonstrates financial need. If you get work-study as part of your financial aid offer, this means that you are eligible for a work-study job.
❓: I had work-study last year; why didn't I get work-study again this year?
➡: The FAFSA re-asses your finances every year and you may not qualify. Work-study funding is also limited, and submitting your FAFSA at a later date can also impact your work-study eligibility.
❓: Where does my work-study money go? ➡: The work-study amount on your financial aid offer will not be applied to your UNK bill. Instead, just like any other job, you will receive paychecks based on a set wage for hours worked. This money will go straight to your bank account.
