Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is, without exaggeration, one of the most impactful Ministers of Foreign Affairs on the African continent right now @S_OkudzetoAblak
Ghana’s best performing minister.
Even as a Nigerian, I can genuinely feel and appreciate his work, his leadership is visible, intentional, and results-driven.
It’s rare to see this level of consistency and commitment in public service, and he stands out as a shining example of what effective diplomacy and governance should look like in Africa.
I was really hoping to meet him at Ghana’s diaspora town hall meeting last week in London, but unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance. Hopefully, another opportunity comes soon.
With the trajectory he’s on, there’s no doubt in my mind he has what it takes to become President of Ghana one day.
Tomorrow over 100,000 Ghanaians in the Greater Accra region will wake up before 6am to trek early to the junction or lorry station to queue for a bus to take them as close to their work destinations as possible. Some are coming from recently flooded homes and others will have to battle jumping over mud and puddles or else have stained shoes.
Our minister will be sleeping as she is duly tired from carrying all the heavy weight of her award as best performing regional minister in Ghana.
