Protect me from those who wish me harm.
Hold my hand and keep me safe.
Let my family live in peace.
And let all those who serve and learn from me remain devoted to the Creator.
There is something deeply human in this prayer.
We ask for strength for ourselves, but peace for our family.
We ask for protection, but also for the people around us to remain on the right path.

Protect me, holding my hand.
May the deepest wishes of my heart be fulfilled.
But above everything else - let my mind remain at Your feet.
Treat me as Your own, and take care of me.
Perhaps this is the real meaning of prayer:
Not merely asking God to give us what we want,
but asking that whatever happens, we never lose our connection with Him.

The mind wanders endlessly - towards possessions, people, success, fears and desires. Yet the deepest peace comes from returning to the One who was never away.
Guru Amar Das Ji reminds us: stay with the Lord.
Not only in prayer. Not only in difficult times.
But in every breath, every action, every success and every loss.
When the mind learns to remain with Hari, the world may remain unchanged - but our relationship with the world changes completely.
Sukoon begins where the wandering mind comes home.
