Hello everyone!
I’m done indexing dispensation records today, and with that I will be slowly shifting to my non-LMD (Democratic Memory Law) clients on a first-come, first-served basis. while indexing the earliest pre-marriage files.
2. Some items have already been scanned for full-text before I was about to index them, so I decided to skip them.
3. Some items are duplicates or were re-filmed, so I skipped them as well.
Out of respect for my LMD (Democratic Memory Law) clients, who desperately need records of their ancestors for their application, I will try my best to index them. Since there's a lot of records, I'll not be able to finish it this year. I wish myself and my clients luck.
UPDATE:
I'm also done indexing the following records that are held at the Archives of the Archdiocese of Manila as follows:
Demandas sobre divorcios (Divorce lawsuits)
Casos matrimoniales (Marriage cases)
I've made my decision to pursue indexing dispensation records, which include Dispensas de proclamas (Proclamation dispensations), Dispensas matrimoniales (Marriage dispensations) and Dispensas concepidas (Approved dispensations), all also from the AAM.
I’m still undecided if I will also work on Dispensas de proclamas (Proclamation dispensations), Dispensas matrimoniales (Marriage dispensations) and Dispensas concepidas (Approved dispensations), all also from the AAM.
I’m currently done indexing the following sets of records:
NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF THE PHILIPPINES
Bienes de difuntos (Assets of the deceased)
Declaraciones de herederos (Declarations of heirs)
Testamentos (Testaments)
Pensiones (Pensions)
@KathWoolbright Hello! My apologies for late response because I'm not usually active here these days. You might have to check for church records in Pambujan, Northern Samar called St. John the Baptist Parish to determine if they are surviving or not. I hope this helps.
If you are a descendant of Chinese-born Spanish-naturalized Ignacio Jao Boncan and you are interested in Spanish citizenship application through Democratic Memory Law, please feel free to message me. I have his declaration of heirs and pre-marriage files.
