It's bc there's nuance that gets overlooked. There are literally domeatic colonies within the 1st world. This is more than just being a minority. Native Americans on the rez are a premier example in the US. New Afrikans in rural parts of the South as well.

I'm really over this idea that America lacks a working class politics. This country routinely makes appeals to middle America, blue collar workers, farmers. The problem is the settler pseudo-proletariat: they align workerism w/ homeownership and petit bourgeois aspirations
