The toxicity that surrounds Manchester United on a daily basis is caused in part by segments of it's own fanbase. The way they turn on the coach, superstars, new signings, young players - whoever it is - at the drop of a hat, is crazy to me.
You can't demand loyalty without showing it yourself. You can't demand high performance without sticking with it through the lows. It has been a frustrating & disappointing start to the season, it has to improve & quickly, nobody denies that.
Scapegoating doesn't help. Abuse doesn't help. Criticism is fair, obviously. There's a difference. These people aren't your emotional punching bags. They represent your club, you should support them - that's kind of the whole point.
