@jane612412 I understand you because Thailand already has its own national costume, but you have to understand that during the Siamese kingdom era, Thailand sent armies to attack and occupy Lanna, Lan Xang, Khmer, and Patani. So the clothing and culture of people in the north resemble Burma
@lenamiuenj0yer@matchayibo The costumes in the story aren't from the Thai kingdom, Ayutthaya period, or Siam at all. They're from the Lanna kingdom that Thailand conquered. How can you say Burma took over Thailand? The Lanna kingdom and the old Thai kingdom were definitely distinct kingdoms.
@lenamiuenj0yer@matchayibo You might be mistaken. This is the Lanna Kingdom, not the Thai kingdom in history. This set comes from the Lanna Kingdom, which was once under Burmese rule, so it looks similar. Later, the Thais invaded and took over the Lanna Kingdom, making it part of present-day Thailand.
@HmuHmu25366841 I am Thai and I'm confused because the story has nothing to do with Thailand. The outfits seem like a mix between Lanna kingdom and Burmese styles. It's all over the place, so why call it Scarlet Heart Thailand. 🤣 The director probably doesn't know anything about this
@uyupuppy I understand you, but this outfit is not the traditional Thai costume. Everyone around the world knows the traditional Thai costume because Thailand still has a monarchy. In the series, it's just a Lanna kingdom outfit that looks similar to Burmese clothing.
@KaiZmkyk@Flowerrite Northern Thai outfits are similar to Burmese ones, Isan outfits resemble Lao ones, and Southern Thai outfits are like Malaysian ones. In the Siamese kingdom era, Thailand invaded and took over these areas
@KaiZmkyk@Flowerrite The Lanna Kingdom and the Ayutthaya Kingdom were completely different kingdoms. During the Siam or Thai era, the Lanna Kingdom was fully integrated in 1932.
