Politicians make it harder for us to vote because they know that if we were able to actually make our voices heard, they'd lose their jobs, their donors would lose profits, and most importantly, popular policies would ACTUALLY PASS.

ASU spent almost $500,000 on political lobbying in just 2021 alone! That’s equivalent to almost 71 individual in-state students’ tuition annually.

Today was the last day to submit signatures for the Arizona Fair Elections ballot initiative, and our @unpac_az organizers got THOUSANDS of people to sign the petition to protect democracy in Arizona!

Young people are BEGGING our reps to take action on climate change, but SCOTUS just ruled to limit the EPA’s ability to regulate carbon emissions. This is boon for fossil fuel executives that hurts literally everyone else who has a stake in a liveable climate (i.e. everyone).

Dems are using the Dobbs decision to fundraise for their campaigns, which 1) is disgusting and 2) demonstrates a larger problem in our political system: money matters more to politicians than actually working to pass popular and urgent policies. We must get money out of politics.
