Unreachable, the best selling book and ministry of evangelist @DarrellGB. After a life of drugs and violence, he now reaches the lost and equips the church.
Stay grounded. Accountable relationships, daily time with my nose in the word, a focus on Christ - his character, teachings and sacrifice etc stops me from going down a path of complete and total nonsense.
Following a thread on Facebook where there is a suggestion from Dallas seminary to use the term “biblicist” rather than “evangelical” due to the now toxic nature of the word. Granted the issue are more acute in the USA. What do people think?
This year whilst we’re not able to bring you TG21 in the field - we are going live with the bunker, bigger and better than ever before! Find out more at https://t.co/5X6AFKcHSw
Lord Ramsbotham, the former Chief Inspector of Prisons, has repeatedly stated that “the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974, in its present form, is not fit for purpose...”
A better name is the “Criminal Records Act” because that’s really all it’s about!

I once had a letter sent to me when ministering in a deprived community from some other leaders expressing concern that we were “spending far too much time with people committing adultery and other such sins...”I remember thinking, “I’m sure I’ve read that somewhere before...”
I’ve spent too many years listening to communicators sharing inspirational thoughts and stories that change your own thoughts until the next weeks hit. Only sharing from Gods word with Jesus Christ absolutely front and centre will both your life and destiny change.
I didn't close my church today. It remained open. We worshipped together. We prayed together. We sang together. We had tea and coffee and laughed together. We just did that online. And as a bonus, noone caught COVID-19.
There’s always so much to be thankful for. The last 18 months have presented some deeply painful and traumatic family challenges - but we have found that an attitude of gratitude and thankfulness changes the game. Recommended.
You can try websites, self help gurus, investment experts, plan a relocation, change careers or do the lottery to get a fresh start. However only one person can wipe your slate clean, and change both your life and your destiny. His name is Jesus Christ. Start looking there.
My church in Mackworth Derbyshire tonight .I married here, loved ones are buried here and a church so rich in history over 800 years brought joy to many. It witnessed so much, survived so much until this .I hope not a cruel act of arson .Pray for Mackworth Church tonight😭Gutted
This letter alone made it worthwhile. Thanks Rasheed for giving such a different perspective on life to both myself and my boys. Thanks too to @RefugeesAtHome for helping to make this happen. It was a hugely positive experience and I will definitely host again. 👍🏻
In my last post I reflected on how people who have found Christ are full of love, peace, joy and passion to share faith. They aren’t grieving Sunday meetings because they’ve not experienced it and because of the beauty of what they’ve found.
So the next question is:-
Within this I believe we need a greater emphasis on small groups and plan for a daily rhythm of prayer and communion etc. (More on this to follow)
I have a working plan for “Edge Communities” but keen to hear people’s ideas ahead of seeking to roll stuff out nationally
@mrbeechy Tell them to spend some time in prisons, or at projects like @LighthouseStGs and then make a judgment on the poor! We are one step away from the Victorian approach of the “deserving poor” attitude.
Before you make judgements about the poor, spend significant time with them. Then make your judgments. Then make your decisions. Memories don’t count. They fade and warp.
This is a chance for reformation. Innovate don’t replicate. Release people to be creative and try stuff. Don’t rush back to what we once had. This is an incredible chance to recast mission, reform church, reach people we didn’t before.
We will have the pleasure of hearing from Nikki Marfleet, Governor of HMP Woodhill, at this year's online Prison Ministry Conference.
