The ability to spend time with your newborn baby should not depend on where you work, your income, or your zip code. We must end the absurdity of being the only major country not to guarantee paid family and medical leave.
400 richest Americans' wealth in 1991: $288 billion
400 richest Americans' wealth today: $5.3 trillion
Americans unable to afford to fill their prescriptions today: 18,000,000
Who is our economy working for?
88% of the American people support our efforts to lower prescription drug costs — 88%!
Is it just me, or is that an overwhelming majority of this country?
I say we get this done.

Pop quiz. Take 1,500 pharmaceutical lobbyists up on Capitol Hill, add them together with 535 members of Congress — what do you get?
If you guessed 'the American people paying the highest prices on the planet for prescriptions,' you guessed right.
Let's end Big Pharma's greed.
The patent for insulin was sold for $1 so it would be available to all.
Insulin in the United States is now the 6th most expensive liquid in the world.
That is the power of Big Pharma's greed when it goes unchallenged. NOW is the time that we finally take them on.
Not one member of the GOP voted for the expanded Child Tax Credit.
Not one of you is prepared to support paid family and medical leave.
"Party of parents"? Give me a break.
From Big Pharma to John Deere to Kellogg's, there is a common thread: corporate greed. Under a system which is meant to create more and more wealth for fewer and fewer people, 'enough' will never be enough. We must build working class solidarity and end their greed.
Do you know how much the pharmaceutical industry is spending to make it so they can continue charging you the highest prices on the planet for prescription drugs? $300 million on lobbying alone! Do you got that?
"For the past 40 years, the typical American wage earner has no real wage raise whatsoever when adjusted for inflation... And we have not seen so much wealth concentrated at the top since the Gilded Age of the 1890's. " - @RBReich
"If you don't understand that there always has to be a struggle, that we always have to fight, then we're going to lose the muscle to fight, to fight for our democracy, and to fight for our children." - @FlyingWithSara
BREAKING: California has voted not to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom, according to a projection from @ABC News based on exit polls and an analysis of votes. https://t.co/PnEY7CoI4d
BREAKING: California’s Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom has defeated a recall attempt driven by GOP criticism of his COVID-19 policies. https://t.co/cumGmdm8vU
.@GavinNewsom and I had the honor of welcoming President @JoeBiden to California yesterday! Thank you, President Biden, for always exhibiting grace and compassion as you work to unite us, do right by us, and build back better 🙏
The attempted recall of Gov. Newsom is a bold-faced GOP power grab. If we have any hope of addressing climate change, guaranteeing health care to all, and passing real immigration reform, it cannot succeed.
California: return your ballot or vote 'NO' in-person by tomorrow, 9/14.
Congratulations to the best Governor California's ever had! Gov. Gavin Newsom!
Can we sue the GOP billionaires who funded the bogus recall from outside CA?
Californians shouldn't have to pay the taxes for it.

On 9/14 there will be a recall election for California governor Gavin Newsom. While this election is specific to CA, the repercussions affect the whole country. The only responsible choice is to vote “No” on this recall & encourage anyone registered to vote in CA to do the same.
