One actively maintained Bitcoin node implementation is a single point of failure hiding in plain sight. I maintain Knots Untangled, a non-RDTS continuation of Bitcoin Knots — node software diversity matters, not just price.

In 2022 #Bitcoin core deleted the definition of bitcoin as money from their documentation. The compromised core decided rules might offend someone stated "what is bitcoin is very much up for debate". #XBT#blake2b
Makes zero sense to use freezable stablecoins.
Iran knows this too, so there is a reason why these transactions were permitted without freezing them.
And there was a reason why Iran used $USDT knowing they can be frozen.
I stopped trusting the official inflation number the day I started actually looking at receipts.
Ground beef was $1.71 a pound in 2002.
Today it's $6.92.
That's 5.8% a year, every year, for 24 years.
Coffee, 4.8% a year.
Gas, 4.7% a year.
The median home went from $186k to $411k.
Official CPI over the same stretch? 2.6% a year.
That's the number your raises are based on.
That's the number your savings account is "beating."
Your cash is being eaten away by inflation.
There will only ever be 21 million bitcoin, and with 8 billion people in the world, the average person will never be able to own more than 0.002625 bitcoin. To use simple math, if the price per bitcoin were $100,000, you could buy that for $262.50.
Math: 21M / 8B * $100K = $262.50 Put another way, if you buy $262.50 of Bitcoin on River when Bitcoin is priced at $100,000 per coin, you will own more bitcoin than the average person will ever mathematically be able to own for the rest of the history of the world, because there will only ever be 21 million bitcoin. Which means even that small amount of bitcoin will one day be worth a LOT.
Math: 21M / 8B * $100K = $262.50
i'm just an old dumb dude trying to recover from a stroke and took on home crypto mining as a passion project to learn.
I have a question I can't figure out and need your help.
why would a project put a 45 day hold on payments? if every miner in the world decided to put the project on hold for 45 days and turn their machines off would that project not fail?
Seriously I"m looking for wisdom on this question and not the typical 'fuck yur dumb why you mining shitcoins' typical answer.
But Core is too powerful. One group of developers deciding on incremental changes. And a necessary change like quantum will force everyone to the newest version. Am I making sense?
EVERYONE IN BITCOIN IS FOLLOWING SELFISH INCENTIVES. THAT'S EXACTLY WHY IT WORKS.
Miners want bitcoin. The work they do to earn it makes Bitcoin's history expensive to rewrite.
Users want to keep the rules they signed up for. In 2017, the businesses and pools claiming over 80% of the mining power still couldn't make them accept a hard fork.
Governments can restrict mining, but miners go wherever they're welcome. When China restricted mining in 2021, the miners moved, and Bitcoin's issuance schedule didn't change.
Nobody has to agree on what Bitcoin is for.
All that and more ...in today's OUTSIDE MONEY!
I hope they see Bitcoin node software too centralized. They may think it could be beneficial, like buying Core, but someone else could also do that. So decentralization is a must.
BlackRock says the old financial rails may need an upgrade, and it’s betting heavily on tokenization. With nearly $150B tied to digital assets and tokenized funds already in its ecosystem, what does BlackRock see coming next?
@BitcoinNewsCom Not only will history exonerate @mattkratter , it will remember his name as one of the greatest and most honourable Bitcoiners of our generation.
"Long live Bitcoin !!!"

Every time you swipe your debit card, you're spending money that's worth less than it was yesterday. You're running on a treadmill that's speeding up. Bitcoin gets you off.
