🚨 IRAN DEMANDS CONTROL OF HORMUZ IN WAR TALKS WITH US

Iran has demanded sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz in its latest proposal to the US aimed at ending the war, according to state media.

The key oil shipping route has been effectively blocked since fighting with the US and Israel began in February, disrupting exports from Gulf producers including Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Iran and Oman both hold Exclusive Economic Zones in the strait, but under international law, foreign ships retain the right of “innocent passage” through the waterway.

IRAN URGES ENERGY SAVING AS US BLOCKADE BITES

Iranian officials have urged people to cut electricity, gas and fuel use as US blockade measures disrupt shipments and deepen economic pressure.
