@rccsetzer It is an important scene to show her growth in how she treats Naruto, but the people who hate her like that scene because it gives them an excuse to irrationally hate her character. The fact that they still cite that scene as a reason why she sucks is very telling.
@_Wet_Dog_ You know you’ve done well as Indiana Jones when Harrison Ford is kind of annoyed by it…Ford is so protective of that role and Troy knocked it out of the park.
We say goodbye to our dear friend, Oscar-winning actress Eva Marie Saint.
One of the last surviving stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age, we are grateful for her contributions to cinema and the time she spent with us over the years.
Our thoughts are with her loved ones.
@JohnSmithfk3q You’re putting more thought into her character than Kishi ever did. Post Kazekage retrieval arc Sakura takes a backseat and her character suffers. She’s not able to mature beyond her initial crush and it’s frustrating to see a woman written that way.
@JohnSmithfk3q@arakkosuperstar Yeah it’s pretty frustrating as a woman to have someone try to debunk Kishi’s sexist writing of Sakura. We see this sexism with Hinata, Ino, Kushina…even Tsunade’s backstory is focused on men. I’m not saying Sakura is the only one written like this.
@Charlotte_Stein Reylos should have been more sympathetic towards John’s frustration with TLJ but singling them out for a harassment campaign is dumb. Not all TLJ defenders were reylos and his joke about Rey was gross. If Adam said that it was too bad Kylo never got to lay the pipe with Rey,
@arakkosuperstar are atrocious for her character - it’s like her IQ drops to zero when he’s around. Which is a real shame because it would have been great to see her grow past her superficial crush and see Sasuke as a person, acknowledging his flaws and trauma but she never does.
@arakkosuperstar Like pretty much all female characters in Naruto, her character is centered on a man. Yes there are moments where we see her stride towards personal growth (and those are her best moments) but in the end she ends up centered on Sasuke. Her interactions with him in Shippuden
I’m not really in the Star Wars fandom anymore but I play video games and my god these types of people are the most sexist, racist, transphobic assholes. They’re currently crying about a Gears of War game with women in it. They are still a problem in fandom spaces.
I could be misremembering but wasn’t that article about the fandom menace? The same people who post TRoS continued their atrocious behavior by bullying Moses Ingram and Amandla Stenberg?
@ChronoClaire No yeah same I had actually been following + subscribed to her at the time bc I liked what I'd seen of her content but watching all that go down was just gross. She also recced this weird article in defense of Reylo being empowering for women it was so ?????
