THREAD IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
We decided in a meeting yesterday that due to our rent strike not gaining enough numbers as of yet to get our demands met. We have made the decision to wait until the next payment window after Easter to withhold rent...

Students who rent homes from private landlords are unable to rentstrike but still can’t return to homes they’re paying for. They’re just as deserving of having their rent cancelled until the end of lockdown & we call on the government to intervene immediately to ensure this.
This isn't just a strike, it's a movement. Students are sick of being treated with disregard by the very institutions that are supposed to safeguard them. You are not a profit margin. It's time to fight back.
