I am delighted that health and social care workers will receive a 5.5% pay increase.
Our health and social care professionals are the backbone of our health service, and they deserve a fair wage for their hard work and dedication.
I remain committed to working within the Executive to ensure that all public sector workers, including our teaching staff, receive the pay they deserve for the vital roles they play in our communities.
"I have never felt prouder of the actions of our movement, nor as optimistic that we are central to the process of delivering real change for every working person in this corner of our island"
First Minister O’Neill guest speaking @irishcongress states she is committed to working in partnership with trade unions to achieve her vision that public sector workers are paid, and treated, fairly. @the_pda#joinaunion

The ICTU held its women’s conference earlier this month to cover a wide range of issues that affect women. PDA National Officer for Northern Ireland, Una O’Farrell attended the conference to see how workplace inequalities are addressed across trade unions: https://t.co/1LV3WfKDDS
A powerful conference filled with great women. Privileged to hear their stories. My take home? For a healthy, representative labour market we need to stop expecting EVERYONE’s working pattern to resemble that of a single, white male.

@stematthews94 Hi Stephen. It is not “worst performing pharmacists” but PHARMACIES.
Pharmacies often have non pharmacist managers who are responsible for standards. Pharmacists are regulated professionals and if they are found to not meet standards cannot practice. Please amend.
