Over the weekend, U of D's Diversity Union was happy to host schools and students from all the Metro Detroit Area for discussion in our annual Diversity Convention! Big thanks to Cristo Rey, Regina, and Cranbrook high schools for their presentations.

U of D and Jesuit schools from all over the country came out to Detroit to experience its history and its culture. Together we discussed the issues Detroit has had, and the strides Detroit has made to become a great city once again, and the parallels in their own communities.

Diversity Union was honored to be invited to the Holding Up Your Corner Youth Racism Conference this past Saturday. Schools and parishes from Detroit met at the Sacred Heart Seminary to discuss racial issues and what we as the younger generation could do to help fix the epidemic.

Bruce Maher '55, best known as a pro football player for the Detroit Lions and NY Giants, passed away on July 6. Maher was inducted into the U of D Jesuit Hall of Fame in 2015. Please keep the Maher family in your prayers. https://t.co/6h05fnwu3m
