Muslim students @usask have been denied adequate religious accommodations for the holy month of Ramadan which is one of the 5 pillars of Islam. We have voiced our disappointment & concern with @usask_AES and their attempts to dictate to Muslims how we should practise our religion

What makes Ramadan difficult isn't the lack of food and drink. It's the inability to fully be immersed in it while we live in a society that doesn't centre spirituality, especially not in the form we practice it.
It’s always surprising to see that on paper @usask provides religious accommodations but in reality it’s just a facade. @usask_AES really told Muslim students to suck it up while providing accommodations for Lent and Yom Kippur. This is institutional Islamophobia at play.
Regrettably many of us have faced the detrimental effects of systemic discrimination in the form of #Islamophobia while studying, & working at the U of S (@usask)
This must stop.
The Muslims' voice & advocates on campus must no longer be silenced or ignored.
@UsaskPresOffice
This is not the 1st time Muslim students at the University of Saskatchewan have faced challenges of institutional Islamophobia. Our ongoing work alongside @ChaplainMuslim to serve the campus Muslim community will continue so as long as Islamophobia continues to exist at @usask.

"Dawah gives you purpose."
Sh. Uthman (@abu_kutub) teaches us the practical benefits of Dawah.
How can we stop spreading the Deen of Islam when Allah (swt) is the One who ensures it will continue?
#dawahneverstops
We need everyone to keep Shaykh Uthman in their prayers. Heard the news he was stabbed today. He is in stable condition and out of the hospital الحمد لله. The attacker was targeting him because of his #dawah. The attack was captured on mobile phone cameras.
“They speak the truth and are brave,
Allah’s lions are not cowardly…”
The prophets of Allah were attacked, injured and even killed.
Dawah never stopped then, it cannot stop today. Allahu Akbar.
