The official poster for BioBlitz 2024 is out! Join us at University of Kent for a variety of activities, open to everyone. There will be stalls and workshops at Colyer-Fergusson Hall and surveys around the campus throughout the day from 8AM to 9.30PM. You can drop by anytime!

A big thank you to everyone who came to our BioBlitz on the @UniKent campus last week! We recorded a whopping 337 species, beating our record from last year. Here's a breakdown of the data.

What a fantastic day we've had at our annual @UoKBioBlitz event on our Canterbury Campus! 🐛

It's been wonderful to see so many people coming together from across our community to help us identify as many different species as we can in 24 hours ⏰

We've seen yellow-necked mice, palmate newts, peppered moths, green woodpeckers and eyed hawk-moths to name just a few! 🐭

We've also enjoyed bird, mammal and butterfly surveys, foraging, pond dipping and so much more 🦊

Thanks to everyone who took part, we hope you had a great time! 👏

@inaturalist The event engagement was incredible! We had 469 attendants - over 100 more than last year! 100% of those surveyed said they learned something new 🧑‍🎓. This included the public, families, @UniKentSAC students and staff.
