@PaulTreyvaud The problem is that successiveGovernments have failed to increase prison places in tandem with population and crime growth ,We only have 5000 prison places. Left Woke Governments committed to non custodial sentencing .Deterrence , punishment and keeping public safe doesn't count

@PaulTreyvaud @SimonHarrisTD Most career politicians have no, or very little,experience of running a business ie understanding the difference between profit and loss .Indeed nearly all career politicians have NEVER lived abroad so are ignorant of the impact of uncontrolled mass immigration in other Countries

@PaulTreyvaud I was charged €10 for two small lamb chops today , the unit of account isn't €1 anymore it's €5 . Politicians, especially Government ministers and top Civil servants are totally insulated from cost of living through job perks , expenses which , I suspect , includes everything

@mullallyelaine I do think that if , as had been reported extensively, The Irish Government has spent or squandered over €6 Billion over past few years on a chronically dysfunctional "asylum system" , what could have been achieved in eliminating homelessness and poverty for native Irish people

I think the Government seeks to avoid giving this info by refusing to collect it -pathetic

@PaulTreyvaud We ( The People) should NEVER have allowed successive Governments the power to borrow unlimited amounts in our name . At close to a quarter of a trillion euros we can never repay it . Most of this money borrowed was squandered on either vastly overpriced projects or buying votes.

@Editorialz Wasn't there a similar situation with a printer in a Government office last year? Arethere are zero procurement skills in the public sector .No account taken of cost , dimensions or functionality etc . It has long been argued that all Departments want to do is grow their budget.

@Zero_9873 Unfortunately the worst sorts go into politics in Ireland . Our best brains and most honest people go into other areas of our Society . Politicians are basically " professional liars" and squander huge public resources on overpriced often useless projects . We need a DOGE here.

@jonatanpallesen @eyeslasho Unfortunately there is no break down between the "native Swedish" and "Non-Native" Swedish birth rates.I suspect that the Muslim reproduction rate is a multiple of native Swedes.Sweden forecast to be Muslim majority by 2080.Major financial benefits for 2 kids need to be offered

@LFJIreland MDH obviously passes / signs Bills He personally agrees with rather than acting as a bulwark for ALL the people he is supposed to represent as President which is the function of the Office He holds .
Like Biden He committed Himself to be " a one term President" . Pity He didn't.

@LCreighton Putin will not stop until He is stopped ! It will be a question of "who's next for shaving" .The 3 tiny Baltics perhaps with Latvia having one third of it's population of Russian origin.Reminiscent of events like Sudetenland Crisis,Anschlüss with Austria or the Danzig question ?

@glooking Add up all the devfacto "taxes" ie PSO levy + VAT + "standing charge" etc ..usually 25% -35% of total bill . Some if these charges are taxes on taxes if you get my drift .
