One of the things I’ve discovered while making music with Suno is how hard it is to make a good song.

I’ve burned through a ridiculous amount of credits chasing songs that felt real.

I’m not a songwriter. I just have ideas.

And I’ve learned that words aren’t necessarily lyrics.

A lyric has to sing. It has to create rhythm, emotion, tension, release. Sometimes a sentence looks great on a page and completely falls apart when you put it to music.

It’s given me a whole new appreciation for the songwriters in my own family.

Your attitude reflects an active working creative. Ai doesn’t replace your talents, it adds something to you. My pal was in a garage band in the 80s and had 100 songs on cassette of him singing and playing guitar. He throws them in Suno and can add an orchestra for fun. Now after 45 years I hear his songs with amazing production. He’s poor so he could never hire an orchestra much less learning music theory when he only ever knew 5 chords! We were laughing and having fun listening to the work yesterday after all these years and we would never have had that moment without Ai. It doesn’t have to be some project that changes the whole world. He went from making no songs for 35 years to cranking out 3 songs a day at 60 years old. It’s better to make than not.
