One of my really good friends from my #StanfordGSB days - Achani Samon Biaou and his co-author Olumide Ogunsanwo just released a book about how they reached financial independence in their 30's. Exciting read and full of very useful tips for immigrants.…https://t.co/FEI9kAQCDy
@StateFarm I called that no. already yesterday. I was told the payment has already been made to Chase, so they can’t stop it. I’m guessing I need to connect with State Farm’s finance department (or similar) so they can reach out to the bank to ask to recall the check. Do you have a contact?
(1/3) @ChaseSupport@Chase I need your help please! Chase is refusing to release the funds from a @StateFarm issued insurance check that I deposited into my account. Instead Chase flagged the check as fraudulent and my account was frozen, then closed within 10 days.
@StateFarm@Chase@StateFarm It seems there’s now a way you can help. @ChaseSupport is still refusing to release the funds. They claim they are unable to reach State Farm to verify the check because the Claims dept number (866-787-8676) is not registered in their system. Can you recall the check?
@StateFarm@Chase (2/3) Chase is refusing to release the money to me because my mortgage company’s phone number is not in their “system”, so they are unable to call the mortgage company to verify. Even though a simple google search will show that the does company exist.
@StateFarm Thanks for your response and for your empathy - something I haven’t experienced with anyone at @ChaseSupport. You’re right that this is a Chase issue, but if they still refuse to honor the check, I may need you to recall it, and write me another one that I can deposit elsewhere.
@StateFarm@Chase I have also visited a @Chase branch (and met with the banker who opened account for me) with the physical @StateFarm check that’s been endorsed by my mortgage company, along with a letter from my mortgage company, but @Chase is still refusing to honor the check. cc @ChaseSupport
(3/3) Feels like the system that was designed to protect me (the customer) is now working against me. I’m sending this tweet as a last resort because I’m at my wits end. Also tagging a few prominent people at @Chase like @loriabeer@chassan @oronhaus incase they can help.
(2/3) I’ve called @Chase more than 10x over the last 3 wks. I’ve also visited a branch, but no one seems to be able to help me. I’ve been a Chase customer for >15 years with multiple checking, savings, credit card and mortgage accounts, so it really sucks to be treated this way.
