Tardigrades, also called water bears, are microscopic invertebrates known for their remarkable ability to survive in extreme conditions, from freezing temperatures to intense radiation and even the vacuum of space.
They identified RNA-binding proteins that may be key to how tardigrades defend themselves, presenting a unique twist on the well-known Toll signaling pathway used by other animals.
Interested participants may register through the online form until 15 October 2024: https://t.co/6CkbSEXUR7
Filling up this sheet does NOT automatically guarantee a slot in the training. Potential participants will be screened and notified of their acceptance by 18 October 2024.
NIMBB-UPD will be conducting a series of hands-on training sessions on basic molecular biology techniques from December 14-16, 2024. The training workshop will cover techniques in DNA extraction, Polymerase Chain Reaction, Nucleic Acid Quantification and Basic Bioinformatics.
NIMBB researchers pieced together the complete mitogenome of a tiny but destructive insect pest that continuously wreaks havoc to eggplant crops: the Eggplant Fruit and Shoot Borer. Discover how this study brings us closer to better pest management: https://t.co/6h67AsDCBh
