#WATCH | On Delhi Mayoral polls, MCD Mayor Dr Shelly Oberoi says, "Today, mayoral elections were going to be held, the election commission has granted the permission as well. However, the way the file was moved directly to the Lieutenant Governor by bypassing the elected govt and the LG wrote yesterday that he is unable to appoint the presiding officer due to the absence of Delhi CM as the CM's opinion was needed. Hence, the elections were postponed. Our candidate is a Dalit candidate and BJP doesn't want a Dalit to be the mayor...We will take the legal opinion and if needed we will move to the Court..."

We are waiting for the appointment of the presiding officer (for mayoral elections) to be done by the Lieutenant Governor, the file is in his office.
