If leaders fail to act in the face of escalating climate disasters, then who will protect the people?

UP GeMS stands in solidarity with the victims of oppression, injustice, and tyranny, and joins the call for accountability and urgent action on environmental concerns.

Illegal logging and mining also continue, exacerbating the destruction in areas most vulnerable to natural disasters. He also emphasized his intentions to improve the country’s power supply through the prioritization of renewable energy in his 2022 SONA, but no tangible progress-

-relief despite his pledging millions in aid for flood victims, with local reports indicating delays in distribution due to inefficiencies and lack of coordination among agencies.
