Unlike those who find Ian Garry inadequate against Islam Makhachev and treat him like a bad fighter, I actually think he put on a really successful performance.

Garry stood out with his excellent takedown defense. He didn't allow Islam to fully control him, and his only shortcoming was lacking his usual striking dominance.

In short, Ian Garry is right in what he says, and we shouldn't forget that his opponent was Islam Makhachev—unquestionably one of the greatest in UFC history.
