@IndianExpress when you have fire power like @RitikaChopra__ why do you have @tavleen_singh. When the country is rising up against a tyrant government would you ask more from opposition or support the movement against the government. Enough of her, fire her
@tavleen_singh should do journalism! She lives in cave unaware that the CEC appointment matter is in SC, that the Top2 of ruling party never attend parliament. She is unaware that BJP did protest so did Gandhi ji. Stay in cave, stop writing @IndianExpress
Kapil Sibal’s “I am tired of going to the Supreme Court” is quite telling. A senior Congress leader who is also a senior advocate, casting aspersions on the very institution he approaches because it isn’t delivering the political outcomes his side wants.
He is essentially suggesting that the institution itself is complicit. The end goal is to topple the govt. Every institution has been marked. EC now, SC tomorrow. Listen to this very carefully.
We have seen the OHCHR’s remarks about today’s events in New Delhi.
India is the world’s largest democracy, where the right to peaceful assembly is guaranteed by our Constitution and safeguarded by robust institutions, an independent judiciary and a free media. As in every democracy, Indian citizens exercise this right subject to reasonable restrictions in the interest of public order. The authorities, for their part, act in accordance with the law, and our courts remain available to all for redressal of any grievances.
The OHCHR’s concerns are therefore misplaced and constitute an unwarranted interference in the internal affairs of India.
In this context, OHCHR would also do well to devote comparable attention to large-scale protests elsewhere, consistent with its mandate of impartiality and non-selectivity.

It’s really up to the Hon’ble Supreme Court and the Hon’ble Delhi High Court if they wish to remain relevant for people and true to their constitutional oath.
On 10th October, Delhi Police detained and assaulted many lawyers, senior and junior.
Many peaceful protesters were brutally assaulted by the police.
Police is brazenly assaulting protesters. The videos are all in the public domain. No dearth of evidence.
Young Leaders and journalists continue to be held in illegal detention.
Peaceful assembly and protests are constitutional.
Standing orders denying permission are illegal !
Law and Order cannot subvert democracy!
@indSupremeCourt hang your head in shame. The constitution that you pledged to uphold is in tatters while you suck up to the powers that be. SHAME SHAME
Such is the sycophancy in Supreme Court, and such is the price of judges like the sitting Chief Justice and Justice Bagchi, that Delhi police can drag the Court’s lawyers through the streets few kilometers away from the Court, and the Court doesn’t bat an eyelid. What a betrayal
Today - at Jantar Mantar- whatever happened— is totally against democracy. Protest is the right of every citizen to raise voice against injustice. Govt must think and act accordingly. #JantarMantar

I can now write the judgement which is will be pronounced by this sham of a court tomorrow. The composition of the bench tells you everything. Continued shame by SC
BREAKING: #SupremeCourt to hold a special Sunday hearing tomorrow in a contempt plea filed by Shailendra Mani Tripathi against Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan over alleged non-compliance with Supreme Court orders concerning the Delhi protests.
A special Bench of Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana will hear the matter on October 11.
Indian police boarded a plane on Saturday to detain the founder of a surging youth-led political movement as he landed in the capital New Delhi for a planned protest.
Abhijeet Dipke was detained along with other leaders of the Cockroach Janta Party, according to the group. https://t.co/y7WCIbPB3D
Dear Indians,
If there's one thing you do today, make it this.
Find the man in the brown shirt, who is beating a child in this video.
Make him famous. 😡
