I got off a plane to find my independence stripped from me.
This cannot continue happening to disabled people. This #wheelchair is my mobility. My entire life is powered by this wheelchair.

I’m not going to lie, seeing everyone get to celebrate their graduation together this year has me so bitter thinking about last year. I’m really happy for everyone, just didn’t realize how much the ceremonial aspect meant to me.
#ICURehab tears of joy yesterday and today were had by all. Patient, patients family, #OT, #RT, #RN, and me. This is the patient that I was told last week "What you do has value" by the intensivist. For the past 3 days patient has sat EOB on the vent for 30 min. @AcuteCareAPTA
One thing I’ve been learning (often the hard way) is that when your identity is too closely tied to your career, decisions about changing course can feel like decisions about who you are, which can be pretty overwhelming and terrifying.
