I follow a couple of Tamil and Telugu Brahmin food handles on Instagram.

Under almost every Telugu reel, people appreciate the food, rituals, colours, aesthetics and sometimes even the creator’s command of Telugu vocabulary.

But under almost every Tamil reel, there’s some random sicko asking a Brahmin content creator to make beef fry or beef curry, while also mocking their Tamil Brahmin slang.

And this is happening under almost every single reel.

I knew there was hostility but honestly, I had no idea this much casual hatred was being openly harboured by ordinary people online.

It’s f'ing sick and weird.
