@CBSNews After the crowd had dispersed, the Pope walked on the water to retrieve his hat. Then he walked back on the water to shore.
A news outlet interrupted their programming stating,
"The Pope Can't Swim" 😂
@pham1717 "Easy Game😊"
Gotta move your feet before the whistle, get into a scoring lane, crash the net, get behind the D in a crouch position w/stick on the ice (after lifting Mrtka's😊) while screening the goalie. Battle for a rebound and backcheck like crazy. Sign him up!
@SabresLive "I got 'em, You got 'em"
During the first half of last season, the Sabres D were pointing at each other. Metsa came into the picture and suddenly the goalies had an idea of what the D was going to do (zone). And although he played only 16% of the right D shifts, the ⚔️ won.
@FcFrontier@JaySkurski The Bills don't want Mia Hamm protégés messing up their natural turf field 😂.
So, get everyone involved with a goal of building a stadium for all levels of ⚽, 🥍, etc. (It's an untapped market)
@Matt_Bove 'D' Pairings ?
(at start of season)
(12 F, 8 D, 3G):
✝️Sammy/Timmins
✝️Dahlin/Metsa
✝️Power/Crevier
or
✝️Zellweger/✝️Power
✝️ Stanley
(I believe Mrtka is waiver exempt.... and ✝️Power on right pt. on 1st PP)
key: ✝️= lefty
@NotTheJoeMarino "Defense First"
The safe clear for a right 'D' is a forehand off the right boards. A lefty on that side would have to use a (weaker) backhand and his forehand clear would be thru the slot.
The Canes used LHD/RHD:
Miller/Walker,
Slavin/Chatfield
about 75% when at even💪
@ByMHarrington@rachelmlenzi "Cup Finals: Canes on an Even Keel"
Most 'D', Shifts(TOI),
in the double OT game 3:
VGK:
McNabb 49 (35:47)
Theodore 51(39:09)
CAR:
Miller 39 (33:25)
Walker 42 (34:20)
.... and Vegas lost all three games after their 2OT win.
@Antho_Martineau@TVASports Anthony, I enjoyed your informative reporting during the Sabres vs. Canadiens series... I get not ⛸️ing on game day but for the ⚔️ to stay in a hotel overnight when you're at home because of distractions?
@pham1717 "Ve Vill Vin ⚔️"
Today:
0930-Calisthenics and yoga. Namaste🙏
1000-Team breakfast
Short walk and then off their feet and no eye-straining until the pregame meal to be completed 4 hours before puck drop🏒
Carrick, Stanley and Metsa in. 😂
@HabsDepression Sabres fan (but the Habs are okay by me, too!) Please refer to the @puckempire video on May 10th at 8:34 pm or 20:34. The referee blows the whistle and waves it off.
@JAcostaTV@WGRZ "Sherlock Lindy 🔎"
Kudos to our Coach for starting UPL {keeping Lyon from being run by the Habs (and JACK-eye), appeasing the refs by playing Schenn (an ageless, big 🇨🇦) vs. Metsa (young, short and a Yankee) and playing a hunch with 94.
👍
@pham1717 "Tie up the fat lady - I Mean Series!"
With the Sabres being down one game, I suggest that they enjoy a break from hockey after practice by watching a good movie together.... but probably not about octopi 🐙.
😂😂😂
@ByMHarrington "It Happened"
The Sabres need to measure the mental/physical pulse of the team. To me, Tage's response shows a need for a break from 🏒
Please note the Habs had an optional practice both the day before and on game day. The Sabres were off, then a full morning ⛸️ on game day.
@BostonGlobe "Put Your Whistle Away"
I think it's a lot better when the teams decide the outcome rather than the refs... I believe your late, great play-by-play man Bob Wilson would say, "These things have a tendency of evening themselves out."
@PK_716 "Maybe"
I replied on 11/20 that Noah's FO% wins were only 23% but he was tied for 2nd in +/- with a plus 3. Only Sammy with a plus 4 was higher. That tells me he and his linemates were crafty enough to overcome the dot disadvantage.
(Please note, he wasn't always at center)
@Joe_McCoy12 "Speed Kills 🔪"
Good idea! Moving the puck up quickly, North, and getting it in deep is never a bad set up play. Also, as the 'D' drops/covers, it gives you the decoy option to (1) stickhandle into the zone or (2) make the short pass to a teammate moving up thru center ice.
