@RitchieSzn_34@AustonStachews I have no reason to shift the blame. Leafs fan turned off by the continuous negativity of other Leaf fans.
Unfortunately, Edmonton is the opposite. Complete delusion over how great their team is (beyond the two obvious stars).
Maybe I’ll just start rooting for Competence.
@RitchieSzn_34@AustonStachews Matthews has 59 in 68 and is +2. Better run him out of town too. It’s not the players, it’s the organization, the coaches and the fan base.
@mcclusk Would be fun to see, but it won’t happen. Toronto cap situation would be a headache, so maybe Nylander PLUS the first overall. Has to be a blockbuster, never a one for one.
@Account4hockey Berube is like Sutter; tries to reduce every talented player to grinder, assuming they can use their ‘talent’ to just be a better grinder than he was.
Get a coach who knows how to get the best out of each player without dictating robot mentality. Not Berube.
@SuperNovs1 The only return we can hope for in return for nurse, is cap space. Nurse and a third round pick for future considerations, assuming the other team is trying to reach the cap floor.
There’s no pure hockey trade to be made, without taking back another bad contract or retaining 50%
@Rustler177 @Sumdood88 Ted Lindsay award is most outstanding player, voted by the players. He won 4 of last 9. That means in 5 years, he was NOT considered most outstanding, BY THE PLAYERS THEMSELVES.
Best over time, OK. But GENERATIONAL would dominate every year. Your standards are lower than mine.
@Rustler177 @Sumdood88 Nobody questioned Gretzky or Orr being the absolute best when they played, no matter what team they rooted for. That’s generational.
McDavid is ‘probably’ the best in the league, but that doesn’t make him generational. I root for the Oil but think 29 might be better all round.
@Kgill39 Worth a shot. A little less money, which means a little less to eat if we have to trade him away with retention.
Can’t expect to get rid of Nurse without a compromise somewhere along the line.
@DillyDilly97 Don’t we all wish the Oilers brass would play a little more hardball? Vegas management has won a cup recently, and is simply exercising a right that often gets used, but rarely gets publicized.
Again, I would trade Bowman for McCrimmon in a second.
