@braden_treg@chuckh3 GM’s are responsible for the staff too…coaching, strength, etc. The 2024 draft was terrible given all the picks he had, FA has been bad overall (practically wasted his first two), no one on the staff is held accountable. There’s been worse, but he’s far from good.
@toddschaefer385@cardsfanjoanna@AllbrightNFL@blakemurphy7 Kliff is only $1.5M a year, I don’t think that would prevent even Bidwill from moving on. What I could see it doing though is preventing him from signing an experienced (and higher priced) HC vs rolling the dice on a new HC yet again.
@cardsfanjoanna I fear Monti won’t make a single change come January, best-case I could see Petzing being let go.
Fully expect JG to return, and despite all of this proof I suspect Rallis is given next year to “right the ship” since they had a great start and were the strength last year.
@cantgardjay Not to detract from Budda, but the HoF might be a reach, it’s hard for DBs to get in. Look at ADub as an example. 5x PB and 3x all-pro, one of only 8 DBs to ever get 20+ sacks and 20+ INTs (only 4 to have 25+ each), and while he may eventually get in he hasn’t gotten close yet.
@chuckh3 I agree for the rest of this year, but declaring it for next year feels premature. Let them both finish the year that way, have an offseason (with who knows what QB/OC/system changes) to develop, and decide fresh next year.
@StevenDick9442@chuckh3 Bidwill won’t fire JG midseason, hence the scorched earth approach in January. But reports came out that he told him he’s safe next year, so the whole thing is a moot point anyways if we’re doomed to repeat this hell next year if true.
@StevenDick9442@chuckh3 Rallis has been beyond exposed, the defense has become worse than the offense the past couple months. Clean the entire house on black Monday.
@chuckh3 6 weeks ago I wanted JG fired and to give Rallis a look as interim the rest of the year before another team stole him in January.
Now? Scorched earth this entire coaching staff.
@Cardschatter Also, our defense somehow sucks after being the team strength last year and the first half of this year. Love the announcers continuously calling out the poor play calling by Rallis 🤦♂️
@pkmncatcher420@TheAZBugle@cardsfanjoanna The defense owns those wins, the offense was garbage in both of them scoring less than league average while the D was one of the best in the league. Now the O still sucks (less with Jacoby tho) but so does the D.
@AZPaulC@firesay5@Kyle_Odegard Because this guy has quite literally never read or watched a single thing about any other team in the league outside of the 4 quarters a team is playing the Cardinals
@Kyle_Odegard Graves didn’t make great coaching hires, and he wasn’t great in FA (although how much was impacted by ownership with things like loving the Gatorade fridge?), but he was great in most of his drafts.
@LeeWard47487511@Kyle_Odegard We didn’t lose our QB1, we benched him. But this offense wasn’t doing anything when they had all of those players either.
Overall I think our roster is better than the record, but the coaching staff is the GM’s responsibility as well…
@micahchapin@KSzn2021 We’re going to have to agree to disagree given you clearly haven’t paid attention to other teams and how they operate over the years ✌️
@micahchapin@KSzn2021 I do, and I have. He very well may not have the power with Bidwill, but keeping his mouth shut just shows his lack of leadership. The coaches who win balance professionalism with honesty in their press meetings.
And Black Monday is more for HCs, coordinators are in-season.
