RubyGems 4.0.13 and Bundler 4.0.13 are out.
The most notable addition is a new cooldown mechanism for newly published gems, helping reduce the risk of supply-chain attacks.

Google says AI will now dominate its search experience. When we tested vague queries that might require some digging, the chatbot tried to strike up a personal conversation instead 🤡
Anthropic said Mythos was too dangerous to release. Then four random guys in a Discord gained access on day one by guessing the URL...
This is pretty insane:
→ Group in a private Discord guessed the endpoint from Anthropic's naming conventions
→ They figured out the conventions from the leak in the Mercor breach three weeks ago
→ Used a contractor's legit eval credentials to walk in
→ Have been using it ever since to build simple websites
The AI that finds zero-days in every operating system on earth was defeated by address bar autocomplete... big yikes
Obama on the Iran nuclear deal today:
“We pulled it off without firing a missile. We got 97% of their enriched uranium out. There’s no dispute that it worked. We didn’t have to kill a whole bunch of people or shut down the Strait of Hormuz.”
$25 billion spent. 14 Americans dead.
Oil at $119 a barrel. The world has one month of strategic reserves left. A UAE oil port on fire. Ships turning back at gunpoint.
Trump called Obama’s deal the worst deal ever made.
Then tore it up.
Then started a war to get back to the same place.
Can't stop thinking about Elon Musk, the wealthiest man alive worth $828 billion, spending $290 million to elect Trump, becoming $563 billion richer since Trump was elected and ending humanitarian aid that will lead to the deaths of 4.5 million of the poorest kids on the planet.
So much attention has been paid to the Musk v. Altman trial. But real accountability for the AI industry will not come from a billionaire mudfight.
It will come from the movements around the world resisting the empires of AI.
My op-ed for @guardian.

Harrison Ford: “Humanity is a part of nature, not above it. We need cultural change. We need to extend social justice. We need to respect and elevate the indigenous people that are being marginalized, and in many cases, killed in cold blood. The world you’re stepping into, the world my generation left you, is a real mess”
