the thin edge of the wedge for nuclear waste in the west. 1st US and UK low level waste (LLW) from nuclear subs. 2nd a push for WA to host the nations LLW ... how long before ARIUS and AZARK and other companies start pushing for high level waste in WA?! https://t.co/X0L7n2XTOe
It’s been a crazy week at ACF HQ.
This week, ACF’s X account fell victim to a worrying new trolling tactic: report bombing. So what is it, how is it impacting on the work of climate and environment organisations and threatening free speech?
Our Engagement Director, @JaneClimate , explains what happened and why this points to a bigger problem on social media platforms.

There's no jobs in uranium @PeterDutton_MP uranium is unwanted, unsafe and uneconomic. The only jobs in uranium is in rehab - the $2 billion clean up at Ranger or the $350 million clean up at Rum Jungle. https://t.co/56PIAnx5CP
The @FinancialReview is a fine newpaper, but on electricity and decarbonisation, it’s been garbage from the beginning. And it’s very wrong on nuclear and its attacks on the CSIRO. Here’s why. https://t.co/3Gz0YRMr8v
Asking the obvious question, is there is a agreement to claw-back the money we are forking out to the US, if they end up not providing nuclear submarines?
@ican_australia The Australian Submarine Agency in their application for this licence to allow nuclear waste to be stored/held at HMAS Sterling said there is no chance nuclear waste will enter the environment.
I bring up the US nuclear submarine that for nearly 2 years leaked nuclear material.
@ican_australia Becomes clear now that in fact the application does include intermediate level waste/parts.
Defence said this would only happen in a 'very unlikely circumstance.'
I am sure that is little relief to the people of Perth.
The headline says it all.
Ahead of this weeks @Energy_Res_Aus agm in Darwin the Mirarr people are calling for no extension to the #Jabiluka Mineral Lease.
Simple. Sensible. Utterly overdue.
Dig time is over for #Kakadu#uranium - now its time for repair.
@MirarrCountry@RioTinto
Tune in Wednesday morning 9am on ABC mornings with Nadia Mitsopoulos as NFWA goes head to head with uranium miner Cauldron Energy in the ABC studio. https://t.co/0b0kRv7K8S
Nuclear power! Again? omg - excited to block a whole bunch of nuclear bros that I didn't block the last time I did a cartoon about how supporters of nuclear power are shils and marks https://t.co/S6coM8dBWq
Respect and thanks to the two peaceful folks just arrested for saying no to #nuclear warfighting plans at the Nevada nuclear site.

Every day people act to end these #weapons of mass murder.
It's time for the @nuclearban@AlboMP@IPAusNet@AustralianLabor
It is clear that the US is taking us for a ride on AUKUS, we are giving billions and contracting out our foreign policy to Washington, in return, it is unlikely we will even get extremely dangerous nuclear submarines.
We called on the Government to scrap AUKUS
Nuclear Free WA, the Conservation Council of WA and the Australian Manufacturers Workers Union have hit back at the Liberal Party announcement that they intend to lift the uranium ban in WA. Read the full release: https://t.co/BA8eAd8lxU
